Add latest post to Grid layout

Hi there, is there a way to add the latest post into the grid in the grid layout? I have removed the showcase & added in the showcase module to get the page layout how I'd like but would like the latest post showing in the grid as I'm rotating the showcase and people may miss it.
Hi John,

When the showcase in grid menu item is set to 'Latest', the post in the showcase will not be shown in the grid list below.

However, since you mentioned that you override the grid layout and is using the showcase module now, you can set the showcase option in grid menu item to 'Featured Post'(http://take.ms/TyPTb).

With this, the post will be shown in the grid list.
