Is there any way to add the same custom field to multiple categories at 1 time? And also is there a way to make a custom field editable by an editor such as JCE as you can do with the description?
Hi Erik,

Kindly find my response for your inquiries below:
Is there any way to add the same custom field to multiple categories at 1 time?

->It is depend on what custom field that you want to add. The only custom field that can be add multiple time in 1 category is 'standard fields' https://www.screencast.com/t/9m6mKXtp0gH

And also is there a way to make a custom field editable by an editor such as JCE as you can do with the description?

-> May I know which custom field that you're referring this to? Is it textarea? However, currently only description can choose what editor that you want to use.

I would be looking to add the same custom field to multiple categories...rather then customizing each category with the same custom field, wonder if there was a "apply to all categories" custom field.

For the editor yes exactly the description allows you to have an editor, I was looking for another field area to do that as SEO is pulling the description as the page description and I would like to add more content via JCE in another field...I tried text area, HTML ect but the editor will not populate as it is in the description area

Hi Erik,

-> I'm sorry for my misunderstanding here
Unfortunately, it is not possible to add same custom field to multiple categorues (for the existing categories). Unless you want to create a new category with the same settings&custom field, you can click on save as copy button: https://www.screencast.com/t/kBmEkRaD9Y

For the editor yes exactly the description allows you to have an editor, I was looking for another field area to do that as SEO is pulling the description as the page description and I would like to add more content via JCE in another field...I tried text area, HTML ect but the editor will not populate as it is in the description area

-> Unfortunately currently we do not have render the editor on textarea field at this point of time.

Hello Erik,

It's not possible to accept html codes and I strongly oppose the idea of allowing users to place html tags as this is the key to getting your site defaced in no time.
