Hi SI Team

Is it possible to add a caption for the shadow box image only?

Please click on an image here:
http://stackideas.com/blog/update-your-easyblog-acl
Note the image description which does not appaear in the blog paost!

And then go to my post here:
http://finalbug.net/blog/entry/470-youtube´s-copyright-robot-collateral-damage
And click on an image.
There is obviously no image caption text.

I can add a text using the image caption box but then I have a double caption so to speak.
The reason that I already have a caption is that I used a text block to make my caption as it offered me more formatting options!

Is there a way I can add text/caption for the shadow box only?
i.e. the way it works on the SI Blog?

thanks

Paul
Hi Paul,

Perhaps I will try to add a quick settings to show or hide image captions in blog entry view in the next release of easyblog. Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately it is not possible to do so via quick settings currently . You need to manually hide the captions in entry via css hack in order to achieve this. You can place the following css code below inside your template.css and see how it goes.
div#fd.eb .eb-entry-article .eb-image-caption {
display: none;
}

Remember to put the caption for each of your blog images in order for this modification to work.

Hey Erzul

I will pass on this for the moment as I need to focus on cranking more blogs out...
I guess that this will have to become standard in EB in the not to distant future.
IMHO it seems to be pretty basic stuff that needs to be included.

thanks all the same

Paul
