Activity Stream Notifications "is now friends"

Is there a way to disable or temporarily disable activity stream notifications for "is now friends" and "is now following". As I'm getting the site up and running I find the stream getting filled with these notifications as everyone does all the initial friending and following.

You actually can disable the "is now friends" and "is now following" stream item to be populate in the stream feed by:
1. Click Applications>Followers-user>stream>following user: https://www.screencast.com/t/upp6tPcd
2. Click Applications>Friends-user>stream>user become friend: https://www.screencast.com/t/ssHrN7TB
I've help you to disable the setting, and now the stream item was not appear in the stream feeds anymore
