Currently there is no active class when I active the ES notifications (friend requests, messages, notifications) via a click. Typically a bootstrap menu will apply either a active class or a open class when the menu is opened. This allows us to style the object accordingly. Currently there does not appear to be any good way to style an active item due to no active class existing. Here's what it currently looks like:

Here's what I'm after:

Here is a screen shot showing where in the code I've applied it with no negative effects (and it really shouldn't be an issue either):

Could an active class be put in the ES notifications module?
Hey Josh,

We have actually addressed this on EasySocial 1.4 so if you are using 1.4, it is already correct

Seems that this was not added to the ES 1.3.29 release.

Hey Josh,

Sorry, missed this thread! Been bogged down with quite a number of support related issues for EB5. I have checked with him and apparently we missed the Foundry update for EasySocial earlier. This will be fixed on the next release

I upgraded to ES 1.3.30 and see no active class. Perhaps I am missing something? Hope all is well on your guy's end. I got back from a huge mountain climbing trip (12 days) and plan on getting back to work with web stuff. But seriously, I'm not in a rush for this but do try to push for the best practices.

Currently testing ES 1.4 beta 1 with no active class for the module. Just giving a heads up about this.

P.S. I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far with ES 1.4! Still have much testing to do.

The funny part is that I actually checked this. A module bug in ES 1.4 was actually preventing me from seeing this, but now that I looked it over more carefully I now see the active class. The bug does not actually hide the code, but affects FireBug's selection behavior on my end, hence making me miss the proper link. It's not just an "invisible error", it affects the drop down too. Anyways will report later on this bug.

Thanks for adding the active class, I marked this as officially resolved.

I believe this is related: http://stackideas.com/issues/easysocial/197
Currently in RC1 it's difficult to override. Fortunately the !important rule is removed in the next coming version. As a result the active class styling that you make should work in RC2.

Very good. Thanks for the info. Then I will remove my override when RC2 has been released.
