activation email is not sending if user has to be approved.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

May i know where you approve that user ? If from the backend Easysocial user management, the system will not send any approval notification to registration user.

You have to approve it through the email or from the 'Pending approval' page from backend, you can take a look of my attached screenshot below.
