We've purchased EasyDiscuss (see hidden info) and are trying to configure the system so that only ONE User Group has access to post responses. --- That's the easy part.

However... we have an additional requirement:

That Members of the User Group can only post responses in Discussions to which they have been invited, by either:

a) other members of the discussion, OR
b) by the moderator. (admin)

Can EasyDiscuss can meet this requirement?

If yes, fantastic! How to ... ?

If not, what would be your suggested approach to implementing this within Easy Discuss. (custom code / hiring you / etc.)

If you don't think EasyDiscuss is a good fit for this use case, can recommend a solution which might be able to accommodate this scenario?

Thank you so much in advance for your help, and keep up the AMAZING work you all do!!!!
Hi Alex,

You're most welcome and thank you for your support.

May I know how exactly are users 'invited' into discussions?

Hey Raymond,

Sorry for the delay. We have all the users who can post in an ACL user group.

They can be invited to join a discussion by either administrator or members who are already part of the discussion.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Alex,

I do not recall EasyDiscuss having an 'invite to discussion' feature. Do you have this feature currently and if yes, are you doing it from a third party component?

Anyhow, there isn't any ACL currently that can restrict users from viewing a discussion based on a feature that is not available in ED.

If you are looking for a customization request, you can always request for a quote from us at https://crm.stackideas.com and select "Customizations" . Our sales person would be glad to send you a quote for the customizations that you have requested.
