Hi..

I have easydiscuss installed and it seems that although usergroup VIP does not have the rights to edit posts ect, the usergroup has every permission. So a badwilling member can now conflict a lot of damage if she wants to. Please help asap.
Hello Cynthia de boer,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Correct me if i getting wrong your issues here, do you mean that all of your user also have the permission to edit everyone post reply right?
If yes, you can disable this permission from your backend > Easydiscuss > ACL > Select your user group > Edit replies-NO ( http://screencast.com/t/UPDtgNpJscBg )
If no, can you provide us more details regarding this? Please advise.

Hello Cynthia de boer,

I have check your site and it seems like your VIP user is in a multiple group user - (Registered and VIP). You have disable the ACL for VIP group user but you didn't disable the Registered group user. Here the screenshot for registered group user: http://screencast.com/t/0eVsuqtIL83O . The reason this issue occurs is because if 1 of the group user ability is enable, it will override the other group user ability.
For example,
registered group user
Delete discussion = on
VIP group user
Delete discussion = off

The registered group user will override the VIP group user. If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.
