Hi Support

This is something that I wonder about time and time again! Once upon a time I only had Easy Blog. Then I moved from CB to Easy Social. And who know maybe just someday I might even get Easy Discuss. Stranger things have been know to happen…

In the mean time every now and again I see a thread and think, oh that looks interesting and click it only to see that I can not read it because I do not have a valid subscription.

Just thinking aloud here. If for e.g. as a subscriber to one or more Stackideas component I had access to at least READ the posts for other Components that I have not actually bought…

Would that not be a win win situation?

People like me would probably buy more components sooner rather than later…

Am I missing something or would this not be doable?

best

Paul
Hi Paul,

Thank you for your idea and feedback.

One of the main reason for us to set a license-based-protection on the forum is to protect our active license-holders and to provide them with the support that they paid for. We're also trying to avoid any misunderstanding that might arises if users that doesn't have active licenses for the said component are able to view the board.

I do understand that sometimes we wish to get more information for certain product prior to purchasing it and the best information would be from it's official forum where the information/issue is not sugar-coated by the marketing team. However, seeing that we're handling 4 major products with 3 different prices, it would be quite hard for us to ensure that the solutions are only available to our active license-holders.

In short, we're trying to provide the best support to all of our users.

Nevertheless, we are still discussing on this issue and trying to get the best solution for both the admins and the users. Let us know if there are any other ideas that you can share with us.

Hello Paul,

I'll bring this up in the meeting with the team later today and we'll actually consider removing such restrictions.
