Hi,

I have read throught the documentation but cant find the answer to my question. As i understand you can restrict content in articles. This is almost what i want to achieve.

I will have articles with visible content and a "download button" to download the restricted files. To be able to download the restricted files the user needs to have a valid subscription. I just dont want the actual download button to be "invisible" for non registered users. I want it to be visible all the time, even if a user is guest, registered, or has not yet subscribed. If a user clicks on the download button he will then be redirected to the register/login page.

Can i restrict the download content while keeping the actual download button visible ? If yes, is this possible by using any kind of shortcodes ?
Hey Wolter,

Thanks for interesting Payplans product, unfortunately that was not possible to use shortcode to achieve this at this point of time but you can modify the Payplans core php file to achieve this.

Hi

Thank you for the prompt reply. Are there any big changes that has to be made to the core files to achive this, how many files are we talking about? Modifying to many core files is a nightmare everytime theres an update to the extension. I belive this is an important feature you should add to the feature list...

Hey Wolter,

How are those download buttons being generated? Did you add these download buttons in the article? I don't think the restrictions is to be done on the core php file of PayPlans but instead, it should be done on the page of the download link.
