It appears that the setting in easy social app "user-friends" located here in your joomla backend > component > easy social > applications > user-friends is not set to display the add friend notification in your stream.

But we have already set the app to display add user as friend notification in your dashboard stream as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/VB3hP0EH the result is, now the notification is displayed on your dashboard as shown in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/eMtbaLFSSwR
