Hi there,

Update easy discuss Version: 3.2.9385 to 3.2.9422 i just need to install on the top of an existing one or i need to save and copy the folder media/attachment?

Hello Romulo,

When you update the easy discuss to the latest version, the files in the media/attachment folder will not be effected by the updates that you make. Therefore you may install on top of the existing ones.

But if you have made some customization previously in your older easy discuss version you may have to backup the customizations that you have made previously because the customization will be overridden.

Hi Kheng,

Thank you very much, well i unistall and reinstall, and the folder attachments was not created, but i copy back and for now look fine.
Question, all plugins need to be updated?
The attachments folder is used for what, i mean for what easydiscuss use this folder?

Hello Romulo,

If you mentioning about 3rd party plugins then there is no need to update those plugins unless there are some older 3rd party plugins which may cause problems to your easy discuss site after you have updated then you may do so.

But for plugins which is from easy discuss itself or comes together with easy discuss, there is no reason to do so because the plugins will be updated automatically when you update easy discuss.

The purpose of attachment folder in easy discuss is to store attachment data, without it there might be some errors when the user tries to make some attachment.
