Hello,

I've just taken a look to the ES 1.3 roadmap, and i denoted that you added Invitation feature; so i'm wondering if i can have an idea on how this interesting feature works. I'd like know if people can invite their friends on social site as facebook, twitter... (i guess it's possible ) But i'd like most know if we can set points for accepted invite, to give to people that invite their friends and if we can restrict registration on site only via invitation. Is there any doc ?

Regards.

Yes, that's right but let us start testing the 1.2 beta first. We have revamped the stream extensively on the stream and it will have a huge impact on the stream. We'll be posting a beta very soon but do take note that this is 1.2 and not 1.3

Mark,

I too would like to know more information regarding the invite (and Registration Requester Module) features that are planned for 1.3. Any news would be appreciated.

Also, will an admin be able to restrict which users can use the invite feature (in my community, only certain members can invite - I'm currently using Invitex to fill the gap)?

that's right but let us start testing the 1.2 beta first
Which 1.2 beta are you referring to (last I checked the current version is 1.2.18)?

Thanks in advance,
Chaim

Obviously, there are huge load on activity with 1.2
Our site have around 4000 users only and its really slow in peak times when 20-30 users are online.
We are therefore reluctant to upgrade/migrate our other sites with over 15000 users and having an optimized version of the frontpage should be first priority for ES team.. call it 1.2, 1.3 or 7.8 it doesn't matter but it should be next big thing that hits ES if it wants to be competitive with other solutions on mid-sized and specially big sites.

Hello Darko,

We're actually already in the midst of refactoring our stream If you test EasySocial 1.2.18 with the stored functions, it would be much faster compared to the prior versions. Apart from that, we're also working on another case study right now with a database of up to 300k users and close to 800k activities
