Now it is not possible to modify an post when photos or videos are embeded.

Thanks,
Martin
Hello Martin,

This is actually the default behavior and you are only able to edit standard posts and polls.

Well this is a feature request. I do know that it is the default behavior but most posts of our community are in combination with photos. So it would come in very handy if there was this feature.

Hi, I'm starting from this old post to ask if meanwhile it was thought and started developing the post editing feature even in combination with links and / or photos. It's an increasingly demanding feature

thank you
bye

+1 for this option - you must have the option to edit any post

+1 from me also. Personally I'm not so bothered about editing the media shared itself (i.e. change the file linked or the photo shared) but being able to still edit the Status text (i.e. the part that in terms of the final code appears identical within the stream element to the plain status item) on the different types of stream posts would be a massive benefit. I don't know if that would actually be simpler to implement but it feels like it might

I'm referring to the Status text ... Media content can not be edited even on facebook
I think it will be very useful if the hashtags from the pasted text it will be automated recognized ...
That means if you paste a text like "I like easy social very much #stacideas #easysocial" the hastags to be automated seen as hashtags ... in this moment you must rewrite the words to be recognized as hastags

In my opinion you all make a mistake here by wanting the ability to edit these items. You are looking from the view of the user not the administrator. But you are admins so you need to think about that for a while. Editing items is never good, because in most cases the content is not extended but deleted. There is no need to be able to edit anything when you want to extend the information, because there could be made a comment. So it is very clear that editing is losing content and as an admin I would strongly suggest not wanting to lose content.

Maybe you are right Sabih, but if someone want to delete the text content and let the media uploaded, he/she will delete the post and remake it with the media only so you can't avoid this "losing content " to happen ...
Think about spelling mistakes that you need to edit ... you must delete and repost
