Typically I like to give my users as much freedom as possible as it increases their ability to post relevant content. However with the "browse apps" link in my case the apps are not as relevant in giving the users freedom to add more to their profiles. So perhaps there ought to be a way to hide the link in a setting? I'm not asking for a hack, I'm sure I could figure out exactly what to modify.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the idea of apps. But in some cases the admin sets up the profile in a very specific way. Another scenario is if all the apps are set to default apps, there would be no need to have users browse the app section if there is no apps to display.
