Hi folks,

I have installed EasySocial and everything is looking great so far. I have a couple of questions:

1. Upon login, I want to redirect users to see everything publicly shared by all registered users (ie /community/registered-users/item). I tried to force this by creating a hidden menu item containing an external URL but it redirected to seeing only my network. Is it possible to do this?

2. I want to change a user's profile URL (eg /community/588-john-smith). Is it possible to do this, eg in the db, without changing the Joomla username?

3. I really want users to find each other. "Who you should follow" gives me no suggestions - is that correct? Is it possible to add a menu item which goes to the search page?

Thanks for getting back to us! Please find my response to your inquiries below:

You can configure the default start item for the dashboard under Settings > Users > Workflow under the settings "Default Start Item"

Hm, with the permalink field, you don't need to do this from the database. You could just edit your profile and set your desired permalink as you wish



3. I really want users to find each other. "Who you should follow" gives me no suggestions - is that correct? Is it possible to add a menu item which goes to the search page?

The suggestions would require some data first and it is actually based on your friend's friend. If you don't have any friends yet, it wouldn't have any suggestions.

Thanks for this, and apologies for not responding sooner.

Re point 1, this option is indeed selected but what I see in this option is the stream from people whom I follow. What I want to see post-login is the stream from everyone (/community/registered-users/item). Is it possible in any way to force this...?

Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply. I'm not really sure what exactly you want to see post-login is the stream from everyone?Do you want user redirect to everyone stream, You can setting it by:
1. Click EasySocial>Settings>Users>Workflow>Default Start System to Everyone

Thanks Muhammad. That setting is indeed enabled but for some reason it wasn't working before - it's working now.
