Hi,

I'd like to have the post content take up the left two-thirds of each blog post page, and have a 'promotional' column on the right-hand side.

A promotional column is considered by many to be an essential best practice for blog sites. It can contain call to action buttons, a sign-up area for the website's email newsletter (very important!), recent blog posts, etc.

Please see attached example.

Is there any way to do this with EasyBlog?

Thanks,

Douglas
This is not EasyBlog but Joomla related. Depending on your template you have to use modules to be displayed in the template related module positions and set each module to the page it should be displayed on. This is the intention of the modules. You should learn to use modules inside your Joomla installation.

Hello Douglas,

What Sabih mentioned above is correct as it would be dependent on your Joomla template if it supports a right column. EasyBlog is only responsible to output the component's output. In other words, the main section in EasyBlog.

If your template supports a right module position, you could easily publish modules on the desired position defined by your template provider

Hi Sabih and Mark - Thanks for your input. I guess that it's time for me to bite the bullet and actually learn more about Joomla. I've been able to accomplish an amazing amount with very little knowledge using a YOOtheme template and EasyBlog ... but now it's time to delve into Joomla a bit more deeply. - Douglas

Not a problem at all Douglas! If you are using a Yootheme template, it's very likely that their template has a right module position
