There's no work around for this unfortunately. The header field is a field and there's no way for the system to know if there's any field data being set or not

if there is only on header field (that also mean no data fields...) the tab appear - no way to detect the this type of field really ??

i am surprised that is not possible to detect a header field when checking before rendering tab or not !
do we have to use header field only if we use obligatory data fieds after ??!!

i was used to use those type of fields and tabs with community builder and that was working pretty good...
i don't know for joomsocial ?

I know that dev are full of work (you you all really do a very great work with easysocial) but as soon as you had decided to create header field this had to be take in mind... for me that is make no sense to create header field without taking care of that...
I hope this will be fix in the next future

Hello loic,

In EasySocial, a header field is a also a custom field. You are under the assumption that under each tab, the first tab is always the heading field but not every site uses the first field as a heading field

Perhaps there's a way to hardcode this so that if there's only "header" field that exists on the tab, then hide it altogether. We'll see what can be done on this in the future.

Just for your information, this will be fixed in the next version of EasySocial. When a tab only contains a "header" field, it will not output anything

I agree with you that in last ES version : when a tab only contains a "header" field, it will not output anything

What i am asking for is a bit more :
- a separator field or modification of the header field that make it auto hide if the fields it refer after are empty

example :
"leisure tab"

header field : "tell us more about sports"
field 1 : your favourite sports
field 2 : your favorite player

header field : "what about culture"
field 1 : your favorite cultural activity
field 2: the last movie you have seen
...

in this example, if "your favourite sports" and "your favorite player" are empty but others field about culture are filled... the header field "tell us more about sports" will be rendered, then white space and then the header field : "what about culture" and the filled fields...

in that case, i am asking to auto hide the header field "tell us more about sports"

I didn't put it in voices because for me it's not a new feature as explain and also because i didn't see many life in voices page last month ...
