One thing I need to add to my ES website before launch is a feedback or help desk facility. Anyone else done this and if so, what did you use.
I would strongly advise you to use EasyDiscuss just like what we have here on our forums You could try it out on http://easydiscuss.stackideas.com

Alternatively, because EasySocial also has built in discussion features in it's groups, you could create a "Group" for your site, and allow members to join the groups and post their feedback in it's built in discussion feature.

Thanks, I shall take a look at EasyDiscuss. The number of users we are anticipating might mean a Groups option for feedback might be too much to handle,
Thanks Mark ?

Ah I see. Perhaps you could consider something like what we are using for our forums This way, it's much more manage-able and the best of all, it integrates with EasySocial too.

Do you have a demo of how EasyDiscuss works with EasySocial?

Does your demo reflect EasyDiscuss out of the box or are there a lot of modifications needed to get it looking and working like the demo?

Hey Julie,

Our forums are a modified version of EasyDiscuss while the demo on http://easydiscuss.stackideas.com is a standalone version of EasyDiscuss and not modified. It is as is

If you want to see the demo of all our products working together, take a look at http://demo.stackideas.com/easydiscuss

I'm just configuring EasyDiscuss but is there any way to merge the two toolbars?
or to have a menu on the ES one to a new page, so the ES and ED are like 2 separate entities?

Hi Julie,

Kindly find my response for your inquiries below:
I'm just configuring EasyDiscuss but is there any way to merge the two toolbars?

-> I believe you want to have EasyDiscuss menu toolbar in the EasySocial toolbar?Unfortunately, there is no setting to merge the menu currently.

or to have a menu on the ES one to a new page, so the ES and ED are like 2 separate entities?

-> There is no setting to add a menu on EasySocial toolbar to go to EasyDiscuss page currently.
However, you can simply add the menu in file:
.../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.php
You can do Template Override so it will not effect once you undergo update

You're suggested to backup the file that you want to customize beforehand for precaution
