When updating to 5.2.1 from 5.1.15 I have to use the launcher which is fine but, I wasn't aware of this when I updated my first site.

When I opened EB from the backend the Joomla Admin menu disappears. When the update tells me to download and use the new installer, the backend goes into a loop preventing me from returning to the Extensions > Manager > Install menu item. I have to edit the URL to return to mysite.com/administrator.

I have resolved the issue for my sites but other users may become frustrated by the disappearance of the Joomla Admin menu.
Hey Tom,

Hm, when you click on the "Exit Installation", it will actually exit the installation screen. If it doesn't, there is a probability that there are permission issues in your Joomla's temporary folder. All you need to do is to delete the file /tmp/easyblog.installation

When I first tried to install, I clicked on Next Step (Capture 1). The license was checked where I get the message Please download the new 5.2.1 installer.

If I click on "Previous" (Capture 2), the installer checks the license again and I am returned to the Please download the new 5.2.1 installer window.

There is never another opportunity to click on Exit Installation

Ah I see. As we have already rebuilt the installer in 5.2.x, the old installer will never be used any longer. It'll just be the one final issue before we move away from all the fiasco with the old installer.

Moving forward, all updates would be a single click of a button to update EasyBlog, unless it is a major upgrade from 5.2 -> 5.3 but we are trying to find ways to allow a single click of a button to perform major upgrades as well.
