Hey how goes,

- Lvoe the ease of the Migration from kunena to EasyDiscuss but at the moment i'm now trying to figure out how to now correct all the old links that were linking to Kunena?

For some reason the latest forum post on my home page (the module) is pointing to the component and not the menu item, and its getting lost (404) any ideas what would cause this?

Module Location -- http://clients.storytelling-media.com/v14/Technet33/en/
actual forum location -- http://clients.storytelling-media.com/v14/Technet33/en/forums

Hello Alex,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

For the latest forum post on your homepage not linking to the correct menu item issue, I have set the SEO setting of easydiscuss just like the screenshot below:
http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-06_1627.png

The module is now pointing to the correct menu item of your forum page.

For your second inquiry which is how to correct all the old links that were linking to Kunena, may I know which links that you referring at?
Perhaps you can provide the screenshot so we can get a clear view of your issue?

Please advise.

Hey Your a boss thanks,

for the kunena stuff, well its all the posts really as most of the posts have been linked to in the past via an outside party. So for example is there not a way for me to creat a redirect for all the posts that i've imported to EasyDiscuss?

Hello Alex,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. It actually depends on how your previous URL structure looks like. If you are using a 3rd party resource to redirect urls previously, there is no way to fix this unless you replicate the URLs to be exactly as how Kunena URLs look like.

Let me give you an example of possible fixes in your scenario:

Kunena: http://site.com/forum/forum-title
EasyDiscuss: http://site.com/new-menu/forum-title

You can create a 301 redirect in your htaccess file to redirect all requests to http://site.com/forum/forum-title to http://site.com/new-menu/forum-title

This is provided that previous URLs are being accessed on your site.
