Beginning to work on a site that I wanted to create individual module placements; such as videos on side bar etc... Not to certain how to do that since when in modules they won't show individual pages; unless I set them up as a single post in the joomla menu..

Love to have that answered..

But the main reason I am writing is because I created to sidebar 2 videos and when I click within modules to place within the category it is blasting a blank 500 error page not working.. Page breaks, but as soon as I disable sidebar on category it's gone and page works..
just making certain.. - thank you

hey there,

When I trying to access in your following pages, it seems I getting this following error :
http://orlandofhaloan.com/about/loan-limit
http://orlandofhaloan.com/about

Fatal error: Call to undefined method hwdMediaShareHelperNavigation::pageNavigation() in /opt/bitnami/apps/mcitymtg/htdocs/components/com_hwdmediashare/models/mediaitem.php on line 297

Can you temporary disable this com_hwdmedishare component and see is it work?

Also can you consult with this component developer regarding this error?

I think I know exactly what may be the issue and hopefully it is an easy....fix;)

What happened was I created multiple sites within one server. the directory that now shows mcitymtg, was once called joomla. My guess is that it is calling to get correct functions and not knowing where to point..

That being said, is there any new commands that I must punch in, knowing that the directory changed names from /opt/bitnami/apps/joomla/htdocs to /opt/bitnami/apps/mcitymtg/htdocs?

Hey there,

These errors that are being pointed out by Arlex are being generated by your HWDMedia Share extension but I am not too sure how is this related to your paths being modified though?

Not sure either, but stranger things have happened:p

I did contact hwdmediashare; unfortunately it does take a bit for them to return reply.

Worst-case, I would have to uninstall and reinstall hwdmediashare, just not wishing to do that since creating proper permissions for folder uploads, etc, did take a while to setup.

In the meantime, is it possible to instruct or direct me on how I could modify modules for individual pages, if they are not listed when entering modules platform with joomla?

Am I correct, that the only way to modify individual post or categories, would be to ensure they are listed in menu; so they show in modules, in order to create modules for specific posts?

thanks again.

Hey there,

As these errors are being generated by their extension, I would suggest that you get them to look into this.

I am not too sure what you mean about modifying modules for individual pages. Can you please elaborate more on this?

Let's say I have setup an "about" menu item as a easyblog single category, called "about".

In the joomla modules, I like to add a sidebar2 for a particular post within "about" category. Yet, in menu assignment it only shows the single category called "about". In order for module positions to show in menu assignment to assign, they must be assigned within menu items.

Therefore, the only way to have only one or two post have a particular module would be to have a single post menu item; so it would show up in the module assignments.

So it appears, I have the answer, but correct me if I am wrong..

Hey there,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Regarding with your answer above, everything is correct.

If you assign one of the module to display on "about" menu item(single category page), the module will show on all this category post page.

If you would like to display that module display on specific single entry post page, you have to create "single blog entry" menu item and assign that module to display this menu item.

Hope this help.
