I need urgent help here please.. Just now I did an update for Komento in my site and soon after the update, I am getting 500 server errors in all pages in 1 category. Here is more info:

1) Previously I had Komento Version 1.8.3 and everything worked fine. Just now, I updated the Komento to the version 2.0.5. In my first attempt, when I installed Komento from extension manager by uploading the installer, after 30 seconds or so I got a 500 error in the post installation page. After this, I could not see the Komento listed under the Components Menu neither.

2) I reinstalled Komento once again and the second time, the installation completed without showing the 500 error again.

3) After installation, I went to Komento configuration and rebuild the database to Populate Depth and Fix Structure.

4) Now, when I went to the front-end, most of the pages worked fine. But then I noticed that all pages listed under 1 particular category keep showing the 500 server error.

I checked the server logs and I cannot find any error log recorded for this 500 error. I am stuck on this terribly.

Can you kindly take a look and help me out here please.. All of my article pages are K2 and I am integrating Komento with k2.

PS: Please note that if you do any changes to the php files, due to server nginx caching, it will take 30 seconds before you will see the difference.
Hang on... I just now found out that when I disable the Filter for K2 Module, the 500 error did not happen. So it makes sense that its probably the 'Filter for K2' extension which is causing the issue and not Komento. I installed Komento today and when I browsed random pages I noticed this error after that which made me think it was Kometo update. But I did update the Joomla day before yesterday. If this had broken the filter extension, then this error might have been occurring since 2 days ago which I wasnt aware of. I will investigate more on this now since I have identified the module causing the error and will update back when I find out more.

Yep. It was filter for k2 extension. Once I update that extension module to the latest version, the error is fixed. Sorry about my topic here. Happy its resolved now.

Hey Neel,

Thanks for updating Glad that your issues are resolved now. By the way, I also noticed that it looks like your license for EasySocial has already expired and you should really take advantage of the promo at http://stackideas.com/blog/all-treats-no-tricks

Thanks Mark. Yeah I should. I probably have to wait till the end of the year when I move over my servers. That is the time I would be doing ES update. Since its only 6 months support, I have to renew it when I need it the most.
