500 error upon posting

I'm not able to post to easydiscuss since upgrading from 3 to 4.x A 500 error appears upon posting.

I turned on error reporting and I get the following message upon posting
Fatal error: Call to a member function errorsExist() on a non-object in /var/www/html/http://www.crimescene.com/web/backupsite/administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/includes/post/post.php on line 1321


Can you look at my test site and see if I am misconfigured?

if you need server access I would need your public key to ssh ikn

Hi Tom,
This is a know issue with akismet. Can you try downloading the attached his file and apply it into the following directory?
JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easydiscuss\includes\post\post.php
After that, check and see if the issue persists. Let us know how it goes, thanks.

Thanks. Will do. I just now turned off askinet and added a different link to the forums and was able to post. I see you are online at my site and may be looking at stuff.

THANKS for getting to me so fast. We're 100 stack ideas software for that reason.

The new file did not fix the issue. I disabled askimet and posting works now

Hi Tom,
I believe that if the fix works, you won't have to turn off akismet at all. However, the choice is entirely up to you. Thanks for keeping us updated.
