I tried to update using the update function and now I have the same 500 error. My site is down again and this time I can't even get into the administrator section.

I've included log-in information in the secure section.

Thank you.
Hello Robert,

Hm, I am just wondering, how did you update the site eh? Did you proceed with the installation as shown here, http://take.ms/1diYn ? I have upgraded EasyBlog for you and the upgrade process seems to be working just fine.

If you clicked on the update button in EasyBlog, it should automatically redirect you to the installation screen. By the way, which version were you upgrading from?

I just directly downloaded and then uploaded the latest version and the site now works again. At the time I got the error, I was using the update function in the Control Panel. It doesn't seem to be working for your file. Every other update seems to work. Not sure if it's a local issue or whether others are having the same problem. Let me know if this is a common error.

In any event, we're up again.

Thanks

Hello Robert,

Hm, ever since 5.1.6, we no longer receive such reports apart from yours. Perhaps before you try updating to 5.1.8, let us know and we'll try to update using the "Update" button.

No problem Robert. When we push out 5.1.8, do reply to this thread and I will personally test it

Thanks getting back to us , I already help you updated to 5.1.8 Easyblog on your site.

This is what is the step to update Easyblog through backend.

1. click on update details on your backend control panel.

2. tick Easyblog and update it

3. It will redirect to Joomla installer page > click proceed installation

4. Easyblog update done.

Can you give it a check is it every thing work fine?

Big problem. As you can see, the update blew out the template:

Please fix this.

As you can see, it's completely vertical with no menu.

Thanks
