We installed EasyBlog Community.

After migrating Joomla articles over to the EasyBlog component, I have issues editing article post on the front end with users.

We get an error when saving an updated blog post.

"403 Permission Denied
You do not have permission for this request /eblog/dashboard/write?blogid=97 "

We have attempted to create a new "blogger" profile and still happens.
All bloggers have SuperUser, Author, Publisher, Editor, and registered selected in "Blogger" settings

Please help resolving this issue. Thank you!
Hello Eric,

The "prevention" is actually not from within EasyBlog but our guess is that your hosting provider may have installed some security addons which prevents message like this being posted on the site.

Here's an example file that I have created on your site, http://www.bessential.com/eric.php and you can use this to show to your hosting provider. This file is totally independent of Joomla and EasyBlog and it's just a simple php script that posts to itself and if you try to submit this, you'll hit the same error.

Hello Eric,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello Eric,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. I have checked your site and it seems like you don't actually have a menu item for EasyBlog. Can I know how are you linking to EasyBlog? I have created a menu item in the Hidden Menu for EasyBlog's frontpage and it should work correctly now when you access the blogs with http://www.bessential.com/blogs

I apologize for the confusion as I did have it published.

The issue is on the front end. When I login as user #1 for example I can edit other posts by my biz partner but not some of my own posts. Same goes if I log in as my partner she can edit some of my and her posts but not all. So when that the error happens is when one or the other goes to edit the post the 403 permission error occurs and we dont know why.

Login with the credentials I've provided and go to each blog post to see when it happens to you to see the issue.

Oh! and we can edit posts in the admin area no problem. The issue only happens on the font end of the website.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Eric,

I have just tried this and it seems to be working fine for me. Is there any specific posts that you hit errors?

When I'm logged in as me on the front end and click "edit post"... **using a different login that I provided you.**

-- I attempted to add a period to the last word in the post, "Top 10 Things You Must Do Before Hiring a..." Attempting to save the post I get the error. Why would I get an error trying to edit my own blog post?

-- However I can edit my partner's "Luck o' the Tucson Web..." I added a period at the last word in the post...

**Attached is the error snapshot image.

PS the blog loads very VERY slow on my computer.

Hello Eric,

I've check your frontend editing blog post, seems like the issue is came from your content. The words Search Engine Optimization is somehow forbidden to use in the frontend: http://screencast.com/t/zuxvvMLP2 . I've changed it to SEO and I can save the post successfully.

I'll be sure to test that out for myself as I find that to be one of the most silly things I've heard of.
ok, just tested this. Your right!

1) What is it about EasyBlog that would "forbid" a post to be saved on only the front end of the website because of some words in a post? It works on the back end admin section when saving why issues with the front end?

SEO is one of the services we provide. It makes no sense to why I wouldn't be able to mention "search engine optimization..."

2) Was it something in the source code instead?

3) Is there anything else I should know that would "forbid" me from doing something?

Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you Mark! It seems it may be resolved as our hosting provider removed the rule that apparently prevented the term from being used in content copy.

You're awesome. How did discover this?

As techie myself, I didn't know about "rules" by the server that prevented things like this to happen. I originally thought is was Easy Blog issues.

So Far I like EasyBlog.

Thanks again!

One last question I have is, why is the load time on the main blog page you setup so slow?

Thank you for your advice!

Hello Eric,

I believe Nik discovered this by removing parts and partial of the content.

Hello Eric,

To be honest, I am not really sure but from what I can see here, every page on the site also takes around 2s - 4s to load and this does not only happen to EasyBlog. I would strongly advise you to turn off plugins that you don't use and try disabling the cache engine in your Joomla template.
