Continuation of this post:
http://stackideas.com/forums/eb5-theme-and-3-9-post-compatibility

1) With regards to Google+ button - We installed EB5 and therefore I thought that since it uses JFBConnect that this should be caused by something else.

2) YouTube video size in post on mobile screens
- Should be responsive but the video size is wider than screen.

Mark:
Sorry but that is not possible currently.

This answer is not helpful at all. Can you provide us with a more helpful answer please?

I would appreciate your help and customer service with these issues.

1) With regards to Google+ button - We installed EB5 and therefore I thought that since it uses JFBConnect that this should be caused by something else.

We have already told you the issues more than 3 times, but you insist that it isn't so. In fact, I have even told you to enable the protostar template to prove to you that it works on standard template. I am not sure how else would we be able to assist you here?

2) YouTube video size in post on mobile screens
- Should be responsive but the video size is wider than screen.

Currently this is not possible like I have mentioned on the other post.

1) sorry Mark you are correct - I missed the Protostar comment.

2) Is there a way in which we could have a temp fix for this? or a workaround?

Mark...

About the Post Options comment you made in the original forum post.

Settings - Layout - Post Options....

I tried that before I posted to the forum. See: http://joxi.ru/gV2VWoKCB4G4Av

The correct settings are there, but when viewing the actual blog posts those items are still displaying. On Frontpage it is perfect although I would like the Blog image / cover or the 'NoImage placeholder image' to display on the frontage as well....

Cheers,

You will need to edit the category on the site and ensure that the "Post Options" are set to "Inherit from settings". To be save, just edit the categories on the site and save it again to ensure that everything is set to "Inherit from settings".

okay, that worked. thanks

then one more question related to this upgrade:

Can we have the Post Image / Cover Image display on the blog frontpage? Similar to the related posts http://joxi.ru/gkrDboDCGk3x2p

So also display the image holder image when there is no post cover image.

I checked all settings (which I could fine) and it is set to show, but I see nothing when viewing our blog page.

Hey Andrew,

By default post covers should appear on the blog's front page. This can be configured in the menu item for your EasyBlog. See my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/pJCCsRpFdW

Did you set a post cover for your blog post? If you already set the post cover for your blog post and it isn't appearing on the front page of EasyBlog, please provide us with the following:

1. Joomla site admin access
2. Link to the page where the post cover is not appearing
3. What is the name of the post that you have already assigned a post cover?

Mark. I set it to use the post image placeholder image when there is no post cover set. However, that is also not happening.

I have added access details.

Thanks...

Nik, I'm sorry but we use Amazon and we have a key file. We have provided this to Mark and Arlex, could you get one of them to look into this rather?

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for letting me know. However, I can't see the correct directory to your site.

Due to security I did not want the key file to be shared or installed on many machines. Hence the reason we provided it only to Mark and Arlex. Could you please ask one of them to take a look at this please?

Please turn off all cache and compression on the site as it seems like the css are not being loaded / updates. There is supposed to be some styling on the .eb-post-image-cover and for some reasons they aren't being applied. Since your site has:

1. Css compression
2. Pagespeed compression
3. CDN cache

We have no idea how to test this.

We actually use very little caching lately, we have configured mod_pagespeed as per Stack Ideas suggestions, and we only use CDN really in jReviews. I have however disabled ALL caching and also disabled mod_pagespeed for you to test now.

We have set EB to use the post image placeholder image when there is no post cover set. However, that is also not happening. So currently it shows NO cover image on Nickel Theme Frontpage layout.

We are trying to get a similar look as the related posts for our frontpage: http://joxi.ru/8ZrJboyCQ7borj

Please download the latest 5.0.17 from our site and update your site. There are over 100 fixes that was added on this release and I think you ought to give this a try. Changelog is at http://stackideas.com/changelog/easyblog

If you still have issues with the nickel theme, please start a new thread as it would be much easier for us to manage your issues.
