Hello,

congrats for the new version 3.0.1

however - 2 issues have been found:
1. The module on the EXT sidebar disappeared >> must have for navigation.
2. Filters on top of the streaming (frontpage) are not opened.

see attached.

please advise.

Udi
Hi there,

It seems that this happens due to cache issue, I had helped you to clear your cache and it should be working fine now.

However, worry not as we did not really close the chance for the site admin to place a module on the left section of the dashboard area. You can choose which module that you want to display under position 'es-dashboard-aside'.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

Hi Irwin,

thank you for the quick response.

For a moment I could see the sidebar but it has vanished ...
I had another issue ... currently NO sidebar >> see screenshot.

I have tried to change the modules on the left side to be displayed under position 'es-dashboard-aside'.
But I don't have such a position ...

If I add it the the current template - joomshaper Varsita,
it is not effective due to the fact Easysocial controls the component area.

How can I do it?

thank you

We are back at the first stage ...
No sidebar

you have suggested in order to test it.
thank you

Hey Udi,

You need to press 'Enter' in order to add the 'es-dashboard-aside' into the Module position if you didn't see it in the listing.

For now, I had helped you to set the 'ארועים ומפגשים' module to 'es-dashboard-aside' and it should be showing correctly already.

Can you have a look and see how it goes?

Do clear all of your cache from your backend before you see the changes.

Hi Irwin,

thanks a lot, it works.

I added "My Groups" but I cannot change the ordering:
Yours - events - is #1.
Groups - #2.

Is there another module position on the right sidebar?
Any Left or Mid sidebar?
Can I change it?

thank you

Are you referring to Module?

Perhaps it would be the best that you can explain more with a screenshot about it.

I am not really understand your question here but I noticed that there is a module on our right position as shown in the screenshot.

Perhaps it would be the best that you can explain more with a screenshot about it.

Hi Irwin,
My question is how to set the order of the modules presented at the same module position.
Usually, in J! you can change it and here it is fixed.

Another question: are there more module positions on your theme except the
'es-dashboard-aside' ?

thank you

Hi there,

You can try the steps as shown in the video for an example. In the video,

Another question: are there more module positions on your theme except the
'es-dashboard-aside' ?

The 'es-dashboard-aside' is a module position which displays on the left position in the user dashboard only.

If you want the same position of 'es-dashboard-aside' on other page, you can try 'es-sidebar'.

If I understand your question wrongly, perhaps it would be the best that you can explain more with a screenshot about it so that I can know which position are you trying to look for.

hi Irwin,
I'm impressed

Great explanation.

Are you going to have dashboard Right-side module position?
If so, I'll be able to configure the component area as full width.

thank you

We have actually removed the settings for the dashboard sidebar position but the css still remains, so what you could do is to edit the theme file /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/dashboard/default/default.php and force it to use es-sidebar-right class http://take.ms/GMU3m

Thank you Mark (in the middle of the night ... )

If I was a programmer I could understand 'force' ... but I don't.

Could you please ask one of your team to instruct me?

It will let me use the full width of the component and to embed our info to the users.

Thanks a lot.

You can follow my following guideline how to make it work

1. Edit this file JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/dashboard/default/default.php

2. Find LINE 16

<div class="es-container <?php echo $this->config->get('users.dashboard.sidebar') == 'right' ? 'es-sidebar-right' : '';?>" data-es-container>

3. Replace with

<div class="es-container es-sidebar-right" data-es-container>

4. Copy this default.php file override into your current template file location JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/dashboard/default/default.php, for those new folder you have create it manually yourself.

Or you can just download my attached file and replace into this file location JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/dashboard/default/default.php

hi Arlex,

Thank you very much !!!
I did as your instructed.

As we speak RTL >> our directions are opposing !!!

The left sidebar moved to left
NO right sidebar >> maybe because your declaration is not containing "dashboard" ??

eso-5 displays the change after using your file
eso-6 >> after deleting it.

I just need 2 sidebars - left, right - in the dashboard.

And Please DO NOT DO IT during your holiday.

Happy NEW Lunar year to you and your family.

thank you

Thanks for understanding Udi, very appreciated that.

Actually when you talking about right sidebar, is this the right side you referring to? http://take.ms/4aZHA

Because I afraid I misunderstand your 'right' mean is follow the normal standard or RTL standard.

By the way, I've checked on your site, it seems like you already have display your modules on your left and right module position, perhaps you can explain again what you trying to achieve here so we can assist you on this.

Hi Arlex,

we are on the same page now regarding left & right.

Currently, the component area is using part of the page width and the modules area on the remain area.

I want component area will be on the whole page width,
letting easysocial theme to manage everything.

It will improve UX of mobile users, everything will be in the same height, same look&feel.

I just need the oppose side to es-dashboard-aside.

thank you

Oh I think I got your meaning now, can you check my screenshot here http://take.ms/NCgGQ and see whether I understand correctly?

If yes, unfortunately currently we do not have this module position, but you can download my attached file and replace into your current template override path JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easysocial/dashboard/default/default.php

Do take note, i believe styling will messed up a little bit, because by default Easysocial doesn't have handle for this styling on another side sidebar, if the styling messed up a lot, you have to remove this file.

Hello Udi,

By looking the codes in file attached by Arlex, I could say that the new position is es-dashboard-aside-right. Please give it a try.
