i have installed the stable version of ED (4.0.1). after the installation process was finished i got this error when i click in the backend on the joomla extension menu link from ED:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1 SQL=select count(1) from `#__discuss_thread` as a where a.`published` = '1' and a.`cluster_id` = '0' and a.`category_id` in ()
Yes it is. We will release the new version soon to address some of the issues that was reported earlier.

Hi Noobster,

I just tried to access your easydiscuss backend but it seems like everything is loaded correctly from my end. May I know on which page you are hitting this error?

Hi n00bster,

Regarding your issue, I've logged into your dev site again your EasyDicuss backend and I did not hit the above issue. Is your issue already resolved?

Please advise.

Hi there,

Em strange, I can access your EasyDiscuss both frontend and backend without any error. Please see:

Can you pass me the user login that you used to access your site? I suspect this issue happen to only certain user?

Please advise.

Hi Noobster,

I've applied the fix inside the following files and it should be working correctly now:
1) /administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/models/category.php
2) /administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/models/categories.php
3) /administrator/components/com_easydiscuss/includes/category/category.php

Please have a look.
