I installed the EasyBlog Biography Custom Field App and added it to the My Blogs section of Registered Users.

The app works correctly when a user adds information to the biography section in their ES profile and saves it, by appearing in the user blog area.

However if a user leaves the biography area unchanged from the default install and tries to save their ES profile after making other adjustments, a 1064 error appears.

This is due to an apostrophe being added to the user biography text area as a default setting even though there is nothing in the bio text area in EasySocial apps administration (see image, apostrophe appears in top left of box).

If I remove the apostrophe from the user biography area to return it to a blank text box and save, the 1064 error disappears.

I am aware of the other 1024 and 1064 query threads in the forum and the suggested Sep 20 2014 download file fix as well as the site fixes made since that date in later threads. However I downloaded and installed the Sep 20 fix with no change (same error message) and am not aware of how you fixed the sites in the threads from Sep 2014 to Jan 2015.

I have re-installed the original app from the app listing dated 2 Mar 2014. It states version 1.0.1 but when installed shows version 1.0.0

I have attached site access details, could you correct the error or provide an updated file for me to install (I assume in JoomlaFolder\media\com_easysocial\apps\fields\user\easyblog_biography\easyblog_biography.php)?
Hello Richard,

Please replace the attached file in: ../media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/user/easyblog_biography/easyblog_biography.php and see how it goes. By the way, I've tried to access your cpanel but failed.

My apologies Nik, I have amended the information to the correct cpanel access details in case you need them.

I downloaded the file and it works for all members who had not adjusted their initial profile on registration before the file change (thank you) but not for any member who had already updated their profile (the apostrophe is still there if they do not enter anything in the biography box).

I fixed the affected members by adding text to their biography section so this is no longer an issue for me but in case anyone has the same problem they need to be aware this manual adjustment must be done after uploading the file.
