Sorry for late reply to this,
It seems like you hitting this error " -1 Copy file failed" is because your site permission issues, so when you upload/install any component also will hit this error, can you contact with your hosting provider regarding this issues? Please advise.

That's not entirely true, only for this component. I am able to update all other of my extensions without a problem.

Please advise as to why this one isn't working.

This didn't help at all. Not only does EasyBlog still not work, there are now warning errors on my homepage.
