1.3.26 ES update does not up-rev version number

When I install the 1.3.26 update from the update link in the admin panel it goes through the installation process and appears to complete but when i return to the admin panel the version number still says 1.3.25 and it still shows the link to update.

I have cleared the cache but it makes no difference.

This has been actively reported and is fixed in version ES 1.2.27. So install the launcher of the new version, future versions should be updatable through the backend without a new launcher.

May I ask the installation is done by over the network/directory or by other method? wanted to know more to get myself some improvement in knowledge. Anyway, I done the upgrade installation using launcher package and everything seems okay.

I have the same problem.. and had the same problem during previous updates too. I downloaded the launcher and updated and it went fine.
