Joomla is a solid yet flexible framework to build professional looking sites with a minimum of programming hassles.

One of its main virtues is that its functions can be easily extended through thousands of third party "extensions". A lot of these are "non-commercial", and some of those are top quality and benefit from excellent support. But eventually, if you need powerful, well built tools with professional support, you must accept to pay your fee.

Stackideas provides such a collection of commercial extensions.

I have first used Komento free version and would recommend its use to provide some interaction capability to any Joomla! based site. I then used EasyBlog for my blog; this package reduces to almost nothing the workload to implement a good looking mono-user or multi-user blog, and still supports extended customization if you wish to invest the time.

Having found a source, I then used EasyDiscuss on a couple of sites. Functionally, it is at least as good as Kunena, with, to my taste a much better look and feel.

And I am finally in the process of implementing EasySocial on my family site. This latest opus has not yet reached full maturity but is already astounding.

In conclusion, Stackideas provide for a (reasonable) fee an excellent suite of Joomla! extensions containing all that's needed to implement powerfull and good looking sites for intranets, associations or team-bloggers.

Documentation is not absolutely outstanding, but popups systematically included in back-end menus and a very responsive support makes it almost unnecessary.

Hi,

I agree with Caizergues comments above about Joomla functionality and expandability. I use EasyBlog on client sites because it is so easy for the client to create new posts from the frontside. It only takes a short training session to teach clients how to use the Editor and upload images. Posts creates SEO friendly URLs and is integrated with Facebook too! It's a great component and Stackideas has great support!

HI Caizergues,

Thank you for your response. I can't seem to find your post in our Valentine's promo page here, would you be kind enough to ensure that you've posted it in our Promo's post and not in any other section of our Facebook page? It is crucial and very important for your post to be in the Promo's link that I've share above.

Let me know if you need any further assistance and I would be more than happy to help you out.
