I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I believe that YT Shortcodes uses system plugins to replace the tags but I can't be sure. If they are using system plugins, it should automatically be replaced when the page is rendered.

In the editor window, I get a button, as you can see on the attached picture, but nothing happens when clicking on it. I get also an input box above the button which is of no use.
I tried YT shortcodes (from smartaddons), and also RS shortcodes (from RS Joomla), I get the same result.
I changed the default editor to JCE, then to Ark. Got the same.
My conclusion is that there is an issue in easyblog.

Do you mean `same result` is it also facing the same problem when using YT shortcodes from other extension?

If yes, perhaps you can try in Joomla article, if this also facing the same issue, it could be this YT shortcodes plugin issue, you have to consult with this plugin developer regarding this.

If that is only happen on Easyblog, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access (http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site) so we can better have a check?
