I want multiple menus on my site with each menu allowing the users to write in the category that I select for that menu item. When I create a menu item I do the following:
Item Type= EasyBlog Write Layout (Dashboard)
Default Category= (this is where I select the appropriate category for this menu)

The issue that I am having is that even though I select a default category it doesn't default to that category. All of my menu items for this write layout all are pointing to the category that is set to default in the Components > EasyBlog > Categories area so I am not able to use multiple categories.

Is there a way to get each menu item default to a different category?

Thanks!
Hello Jeff,

I've made a test post and it seems like everything is fine. As you can see here: http://screencast.com/t/atkw0SHOL , I've set the default category to Weekly Topics and set the menu item to post to Write about the proudest moment of your life category and it is successfully posted to that category: http://screencast.com/t/Vzh3AVWMz .

Hello Jeff,

Hm, this is weird, can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can check this out for you. Please advise.

You should be able to get to my files using components > Profiles

Thanks!

Great. Looks like it is working. I think the issue must have been that I had the default category set to a sub category instead of the parent. Thanks for fixing that.
