Wordpress a very simple implementation that allows a user to quickly add a form to their blog posts. This would be a really powerful feature.

A work around may be a custom module with some custom javascript.
Hello Calvin,

I'm sorry but currently it is not possible to add custom fields to a blog post.

Ok thanks for letting me know - I would like to suggest this as an amazing feature - many joomla people have to pay extra to get forms made easily and this feature would mean they didn't have to do that and could save that money.
I shall write a custom javascript to send the form - but I will need to learn to see if I can use the JForm in a component script somehow.
I guess a standard php script (not using Joomla framework would be easier but it would be less secure).

Hello Calvin,

Thanks for the suggestion. By the way, did you mean custom field as in when the user creating a blog post, the user also need to fill in a custom field that is included by the administrator?

Not exactly as the customer is wanting a minimal form email and query - those 2 things I want to capture. But its cool to know I can use a custom field I didn't know.

There just isn't a very good mailing (dare I say feedback chat tab) solution out there for joomla.

Hello Calvin,

Ah, I see. It is like a feedback system to the author. Good suggestion there. You might want to add this feature request to our Voices page here: http://www.stackideas.com/voices/easyblog and our developers will get back to you.

I will.
YES you get it - It's more than just a feedback system it is very generic (and works for my wordpress site very well)- for example on my site I get people looking for scuba diving packages to the Caribbean and I want blog posts from the operators where they can add a blog post form to ask for the customers enquiry based on a special offer that was highlighted in the blogpost. So this then is an excellent way for them to advertise and control their potential customers interest and generate a sale.

The current alternative is to get them (the customer) to go to a form page then email the site admin - or other (but impossible to automate across many dive shops I cant add a form quickly every time a dive shop asks for it...)
its an extra click but MUCH MORE THAN THIS - TRUST IS GONE - the customer no longer is sure who they are emailing, they seem to be more sure when it is a part of the post that the dive shop created !
