1. selected category in word, but post submited selected with default category instead of the selected one.

Regarding the above, I've fixed this issue internally. For the quick fix, download the attached 'xmlrpc.php' and copy this file to folder 'JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/xmlrpc/' and replace the existing xmlrpc.php. Remember to backup your original file before you overwrite your existing file with this updated version

2. images in word not added as cover

Regarding the above, I cant seem to able to replicate the issue. I am using MarsEdit as I do not own a MS window system. The image that I posted with MarsEdit did saved as cover photo of my test post. Is this issue only happen only in MS. Word remote publishing? Have you try with Window Live Writter and see if the same issue happen?

The 'clock' means the post is now under scheduling for publish. Did you configure your window PC the timezone correctly? Most likely you seeing this 'clock' icons means the date time in your pc might not set correctly.

I am sorry for the attachment. Here is the attachment. Also, you will need another file as well. Please follow below instruction to patch the category issue.

1. Download the attached 'xmlrpc.php' and copy this file to folder 'JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/xmlrpc/' and replace the existing xmlrpc.php.

2. Download the attached 'services.php' and copy this file to folder 'JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/xmlrpc/' and replace the existing services.php.

Remember to backup the original files first before you overwrite with the updated version

I tested with word and window writer. none of them can create cover image. category selection also has problem. no matter what category I selected from window writer, default category will always be selected. I tried to cancel default category from easyblog setting, but not allowed.

replaced with your files, window writer can not even submit blog anymore. and got this error:

I've tested Windows live writer and Microsoft words, it seems like when you post via Microsoft words and selected the category it doesn't trigger it, at the same time we still investigate why this only happening on Microsoft Words instead of Windows live writer.

Because I've tested Windows live writer, it seems work fine for me (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/GKKziFHLD || http://screencast.com/t/LnTpnjN22cI ), if you still have the issue with the post via Windows live writer, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

with windows live writer, I also have these issues:
1. cover image not added even post has images
2. default category will always be selected, when I selected another one, there are 2 selected categories instead of one.

word publishing still has issue. insert category in word not working.

We are still investigate on this, because this Microsoft word remote publishing feature still new, somehow the process didn't go through getCategory process so it always fall back to use default category.

We will update you once we find out this solution.

any fix for this issue?

I also found image upload does not work in word 2007.

I already pass to our developer and see what is the issue causing this.

Perhaps you can temporary using this `windows live writer` first, I will update you about the process.

I found bug with windows live writer 2012 with easyblog 5.

when uploaded a new blog with images, the images shown in the new blog in website will be the images of previous blog added. I checked the images in these two blogs, and they are having the same path like below.

it seems there is a bug that insert previous blog images into new one.

image issues fixed for live writer, but found another bug:
after publish post from live writer, there will be 2 posts created. one is correct, and another is empty with no title.
