Hello Rene,
If your template supports responsive layout (Which I think most would use a combo of javascript and css), it should work regardless of the css / styles of the component. The only problem that I can foresee is the bbcode editor which I am not too sure if you can really style them to be responsive.

Just a follow up. Komento (as well as EasyDiscuss and EasyBlog) does not work well with responsive templates. I do not know what effort would be required to get Komento / EasyDiscuss / EasyBlog to work with responsive templates. I am now moving my website to a responsive template and it would be a shame not to use any of these products. I think (at the very least) that Komento and EasyDiscuss should be made to work with responsive templates.
I believe that more and more people will be using responsive templates and looking for components that work with them. Moving forward, I will only be using responsive templates for new websites.

Hi,
I have some screenshots of Komento at different screen resolutions: 240px, 320px, and 480px.
At 480px everything is good.
At 320px the comment input section is very good. Only the 'Where are you?' textbox needs some extra formatting. The actual comments are not bad but the permalink button overlaps the username.
At 240px (portrait mode for smartphones) the 'Where are you?' textbox needs some extra formatting. The actual comments are where everything starts to go south.

Hi Mark,
That would be great. Komento seems the easiest to fix (just a guess). So I hope this could be looked at before the final release. EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss would be much more work.
The most important would be EasyDiscuss. A good forum component is desperately needed for responsive templates (even more than a blogging component as almost all responsive templates use K2 and at least one of them uses ZOO). Even so, many people would use EasyBlog in combination with K2. Also, you can create a community around a forum component like EasyDiscuss.
It's great that a company like Weever can help make EasyBlog mobile. However, with a responsive template this is unnecessary (and saves money).

I have installed Komento version 1.5.3316 and the layout appears ok on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet. Although i haven't tested it yet on a smartphone.
The only issue i see, is that the reply icons, and the buttons used for the BBCode are too small, it's almost impossible to press the right one. If you have fat pointy finger, you could have pressed 3 buttons all at the same time.
I hope you could upgrade the priority for this, as almost all Joomla templates nowadays are designed for responsive layout. In my Joomla site visitor logs, nearly 40% of my visitors were using an Android device. I'm sure this 40% will have trouble using Komento, because again the icons/buttons are too small. -
