I am using JFBConnect and I noticed in Settings > Facebook (in this one area at least) if it is installed you get the integration area for it. Otherwise it does not show and the thing is there is a button there that says "Get JFBConnect Now!" and I don't understand why really? Being there is no integration area shown if it is not already installed it is redundant to have a link to this extension. Seems to me there is no need for the link since it is apparent I already purchased it...

I love this extension and I can see the need to have an alert it exists for new users but I would think that button would display instead of the JFBConnect Integration block on installs where it is not found.

Just my observation...
Hello Kevin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, sorry but I am actually a little lost here. Are you referring to the settings that says "Enable integrations with JFBConnect"? Enabling this option will cause EasySocial to render JFBConnect tags across EasySocial and not really sure if I get you here about "redundancy" though?

I stand corrected, I must have seen this in an older version or in a different area. However if you go into Settings>Facebook you will see what I am referring to in the JFBConnect Integrations block. As it were I thought that if this extension was not installed that block would not show, but that is incorrect, it is there regardless. I did click on it because I thought I needed to in order to configure the extension for ES and thought it was odd that I would be taken to the site to purchase it even though I already did and it was installed.

Now you have me wondering if I am setting it up correctly because I did not see the enabling this option will cause EasySocial to render JFBConnect tags across EasySocial. Need to look into the documentation for more info on this. So view this as a feature request that the button linking to the SourceCoast site not display if the JFBConnect extension is found to be installed...

If you think about it, in the same area I mentioned above, you can check Yes to Render JFBConnect Buttons even if JFBConnect is not installed. It seems to me either that check should be disabled if JFBConnect is not found to be installed or otherwise unavailable since it wont work without the extension. I tested this by installing ES on a test site where JFB was not installed and confirm I can check this option and I am assuming that would break the login since it is not actually installed, I did not test this but I will if I can. (Worth looking at I think)

Hello Kevin,

Sorry but I don't really understand what issues are you having with this button. If you have JFBConnect installed, you just need to turn this option on. Otherwise, you shouldn't turn this option on Why we made this a settings is because some users does not want to render JFBConnect buttons on EasySocial and we offer the flexibility of using JFBC tags or not

Hello Damodamo,

Is their system plugin activated already? If it's still not showing up for you despite already enabling the settings in EasySocial and enabling their plugins, please start a new thread on our forums and provide us with the access to the site so that we can check on this for you

I'm on my phone at the moment

But it's with your wanderers template and it shows up on the popup login on top right of page but not under the boxes on the main page where you can login or create an account.

What plugins so I need to switch on that aren't and is there anything I have to do with the login box?

Hello damodamo,

Looks like the wanderers template is using an outdated version of the login box which might not be rendering the JFBConnect buttons. Can you try this with a different template just to see if these buttons are appearing?

Will log this in our issue tracker
