Hello,
my provider set my website to inactive because it seems to use 100 times more system resources than all other websites on th server together. The provider told me that the problems arise when guests visit the website for a short time and therefore not suitable is for may visitors

The website is reachable but protected with an username and passoword.

Can you please give me some advise to reduce the system resources

Thank you very much!
Ezrul,
I have merged the pages "Nieuws" and "Fotowerk" to one page "Fotowerk" with a single category. It's a different layout but the problem doestn't occurs anymore.

Thank you for pushing me to the right direction

Hi Rob,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've checked your website and I can see that you don't have any optimization that are taking place on your site such as cache, gzip compression and many more. There are also a lot of outdated components as well as joomla version itself on your site where the components might not be fully optimized compare to current latest version. Perhaps you can try to check out this link on how to optimize your website, http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joomla-3/optimization .

Hope these help.

Thank you for the advice!

I have just updated to joomla 3.4 and Easyblog 5.0

After Easyblog 5.0 installed i have a problem with jumping from one screen to another screen
When i click on my website on the button "NIEUWS" in the topmenu and then click inside the page for example on "Canon Rumors" on the left panel categories then the articles will be shown under "FOTOBLOG" (mainmenu) instead of displaying it under "NIEUWS". This occurs on every item you will click on the "NIEUWS" page. It constantly jumps to the wrong page "FOTOBLOG" and i don't no why.

Can you please helping me to resolve this problem

Thank you!

PS: Because the site is under construction you will see an maintenance page

Hi Rob,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

It seems like initially you rely on "use current active menu item id" as your main SEO configuration. However in easyblog 5 we have remove this options since many of our customer are hitting a lot of SEO redirection issues with this setup. Current SEO behavior will always follow one menu easyblog frontpage menu item, for example in your case is "fotoblog" menu item.

To fix this you must use single category menu item instead of two easyblog frontpage so easyblog can use the alias of category menu item as the base url of the blog. If you don't mind I can help you with the setup on your site.

Ezrul,
It works fine now when I click on the menu-item "Canon Rumors" at the the " Nieuws" page. After clicking on it it the articles will be correctly displayed in the "Nieuws" page. However, for all other (menu) items (e.g. menu item Leica Rumors) on the " Nieuws" page the articles will be displayed at the "Fotowerk" page instead at the current "Nieuws" page.

Is it possible to fix this also for the other (memu) items on the "Nieuws" page ?

Thank you!

I can see that you don't have any optimization that are taking place on your site such as cache, gzip compression

Sorry for just joining here into a solved thread but I got no clue how these both functions are working at all. So my question would be, using the whole EasyBundle, is it save to use gzip and system plugin cache without any negative effect?

I can remember years ago I worked with Kunena and got massive problems activating the system cache so I had to switch the cache off...

Hey Sabih,

Gzip should be fine and I would strongly encourage people to add the gzip compressions on the htaccess level. You can refer to the blog post http://stackideas.com/blog/optimizing-the-delivery-of-javascripts-on-joomla

Hi Ezul,
I still have system resources problems

I have updated all out-dates versions included joomla 3.4
I have also installed Jotcache and put the advices code in .htacces for compression but the problems still occurs
Because Joomla 3.4 has also some cache and gzip options i disabled the Jotcache and tried the caching and gzip of joomla 3.4 but that also not helped

I hope you can help me with this

Thank you
