I am in the middle of trying to boost the speed of the new website I have been working on and whilst there is so much information out there, I have found it difficult to get some good information as to what are the best and most up to date optimisations to make.

I have therefore created a survey that I would like as many people as possible to complete. In the survey, you will find a link to an excellent and free online tool for measuring your website's performance (you don't even have to sign up, but you can if you want to save your tests).

All results will beg published in detail so that you can find websites that closely match your own environment.

Take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/96G6MMF

Mark, it would be good if you can feature this post (and maybe add it to your blog?) so that as many people as possible see it. It will be useful info for you too, you will be able to see which environments your users are using and which extensions etc

The survey is completely anonymous.
I used JCH optimize pro and does not work with EasyBlog, blocking the text editor

Hello Jason,

I think your statement is a little incorrect The editor that you use (Most likely TINYMCE) uses "relative" paths. For example, the js file is stored in /media/editors/tinymce/scripts/tiny_mce.js . In this script, it's looking for a file through ../somefile.js . It works fine if you do not relocate the tiny_mce.js

When JCH Optimize kicks in, it compresses all the javascript and places it in a /cache/ folder and this is where your editor fails to load. I think it's unfair to say that EasyBlog does not work because it's your responsibility to know what you are compressing / caching.

P/S: I will be picking several sites so that I can run some case study on and I am looking at busy sites so that we can run some performance teardown. Anyone willing to help here? Your site should be active

hi Mark, feel free to use my site for the frontpage after login takes longer to load than any other pages on my site. Easy blog is also heavy. I am using a dedicated server from 1and1.com

Hello Robert,

We'll be posting a blog about this and we'll include a form so that you can submit your site details to us. How many active users do you have on the site if you don't mind me asking?
