Is there a support forum for this or some documentation?

I like it and I'm trying to use it but I think there is more to this than just position 1 2 and 7 .. because I've got stuff showing up on the left and nothing showing up on the right ...

Cheers
Hello Damon,

The template overrides for EasySocial on Wanderers is actually a little different. Those that you see on the left are actually "styled" like a module but they are actually just widgets within EasySocial

This might sound stupid then, but where are the widgets to manage them and also, I really don't understand the tutorial on creating sub menu items. Why don't sub menu items just appear as sub menu items?

http://wanderers.stackideas.com/documentation/creating-sub-menu

I mean. If I've got a main menu with Home Social Contact as the three menu items

if I put something under Social i.e. profile and groups - why does profile and groups show up as sub menu items under both Home and Contact?

There's actually a bug where the sub menu items are appearing even for pages that it isn't active currently. This will be addressed shortly in the next update for Wanderers.

Hi damodamo,

Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize if the docs were pretty hard to follow. I'll try to improve it so that it's easier to understand.

As for your inquiry, I've talked to our designers/devs and they have informed me that the latest Wanderers should work perfectly with the latest EasySocial. Would you be kind enough to try and verify?

In regards to Wanderers are there then any plans to put in a framework with it like Gantry, Warp or T3 to give the template more 'depth' to it?

Rampeagerabbit, the whole appeal of Wanderers is that it has no framework. Frameworks slow down you site. That is the main reason for going for a Stackideas built template, it is made to be ultra lean and fast. If you want a framework based template, there is an incredible amount of options on the internet... but frameworkless on the otherhand are hard to find.

@Jannik.

Since my introduction to Joomla in 2010 I have ever only used Rockettheme's templates which runs of their Gantry framework which I find very flexible and easy to use. I have never run a Joomla website without any framework so I couldn't really say otherwise. I believe in what you saying that the site would run faster without a framework, it would only be logic that it did.
When I look at a new template from any Joomla template pushers, I always start looking at the possibilities the frameworks gives you, and what options you have with it. Maybe because I have been so used to using this, I cannot see beyond it when a template like Wanderers comes along which are frameworkless

Yeah there are benefits to both options. I agree that for the average user the flexibility and control of a framework is ideal. But for power users that want to maximize performance, those frameworks just get in the way. Personally i have been able to greatly modify Wanderers by using the custom.css

Currently there is an abundance of great templates available that use template frameworks, but there are only a handful of templates that are frameworkless. That is why I am grateful for Wanderers, it offers something different.

Hye Rampeagerabbit and Jannik,

I'm happy to hear and kindly interested what you guys saying about Wanderers and frameworks. Yeah, i agree that building a theme with framework makes the theme more flexible and controlable. And the theme become more ''depth'', user friendly and stable.

Like what Jannik said, we want all our customer (specially developers) to be able to widely modify Wanderers with using the custom.css file. We give all control with what you guys want to do.

We build this Wanderers as a token of appreciation to all of our customer, and we're glad most of you guys happy with it. We're happy if you guys are happy Since its a free template, we do not actually provide any support for it and current we don't have any plans to put Wanderers in a framework like Gantry, Warp or T3..

However, it would be quite unfair for us to just throw it in and without offering any assistance. Don't worry we gonna take a look all of any suggestion and if its possible to be done, we never lets the you guys down.

Screenshot attached - you see the Social login icons on the drop down but not in the login or register box.

According to Mark there was an issue with that box hence why I was replying to this thread to see if it was fixed ..
