Hello!

We are working together with a few different websites and want them to allow their users to do a virtual log in to easysocial.

So basically allow their users to log in to our site without needing to log in.

Their log ins would be able to log in to ours, is there an API for that?

Thanks!!
Hello Eddie,

I am really sorry but unfortunately EasySocial does not have such functionality currently. In fact, I don't think you can actually achieve this with Joomla unless you have a plugin that allows you to "imitate" another person on the site.

Another question is about having our users log in to another domain.

For security we need to set up the server as a secure https domain. Also we should enforce our cookies to be secure and HttpOnly.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie#Secure_and_HttpOnly

Can we simply turn on Https and will everything work the way it should? With the right cookies etc?

Hello Eddie,

As long as the plugin alters the login behavior of Joomla, it should work. I don't think you can have multiple domains because cookies can only be accessed via the same domain that you are on.

Hello Eddie,

I don't think this is the one because this seems like it's trying to allow logins from an external database.
