Vimeo encoding

Hi,

I have just upgraded to 1.4. because of the great new video feature. All is working well on the site we are developing except for some reason I cannot get Vimeo videos to display in the groups.

Youtube is fine but with Vimeo we paste the link then it says video encoding. We have done it several times and waited and nothing is displaying.

I have tried different link options from Vimeo but all ends in the same response.

Hey Michael,

I've tested upload vimeo video in your test group and video page, it seems work fine, you can take a look of my screenshot below.

Perhaps you can provide us with your vimeo url so we can test on this?

Hi,

Many thanks for taking the time to have a look. I have found a solution. If I try to add a video whilst the Vimeo video is set to private it will not work. However if I add the Vimeo video without it being a private video on Vimeo it works. i can then change the setting on Vimeo back to private so it won't be found on Vimeo and the video still works on my site.

Oh, actually that was default behaviour is because when you click submit private Vimeo video from Easysocial page, it actually request to vimeo server to retrieve that vimeo video data in Easysocial, but that vimeo video set to private privacy so it restrict other user to get this video data.
