I am sorry but I cannot find this anywhere.

for some reason, when guests want to see a profile on my site, they need to login. I do not want that, and cannot figure out where to set it so everybody can view the profiles on the site.

it is probably simple.... but....

thanks
Corine
Hi Corine,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

I just checked your site and seems like you have created a single profile menu item and only "special" user group are allowed to access the menu item. Hence when public user are trying to access your profile, it will automatically redirected to login page. Check my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/XdILU8mKD

Perhaps you might want to reconfigure your menu item access so public user will be able to access your profile page.

Hope these help.

Hai Corine,

Regarding for you issue, by default guest can see you profile without login. For guest to see you profile just click on left side widget ( App )-> About, you can see my screenshot here:- http://screencast.com/t/zPIj1V2hTJ , http://screencast.com/t/KpMkoFMNfk.

Hi, Jasni,

yeah, that worked before, but at the moment, it is not. I have listing of all my profiles, which shows up just fine (all users from profile type x), but when you click on one of them, you are redirected to the joomla login page.

I have no clue what I have done to get here, but ofcourse this is not a wanted situation.

I am using the wireframe theme.

this is a page with my users.
http://www.heelritueel.nl/nieuwesite/index.php/alle-gebruikers/profieltype/2-ritueelbegeleiders
click on one of them and see what happens :-(

help?

kind regards,
Corine

Hai Corine,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

yes, of course. I remember there was a special area where you could post that without giving everybody access, and without having to post it each time a question was posted... so somewhere in my profile, but stuff has been changed and I cannot find it...

where can I set my access data for you?

oh... sometimes things are so obvious. Sorry! Found it, and filled it in.

thanks guys!

OM, I would have never suspected that the problem was there in the menu! This is indeed the problem!

thanks for finding the issue!
I was looking in the settings of EasySocial and such and no wonder I couldn't find it ;-)
