I am having the same problem. It states that the profile is 90% complete. Does not tell what is missing and won't go away.

You can disable it temporary in Easysocial settings...

I've seen this issue since it was implemented in v1.2.x I forgot which x it was :P but it could only be on my setup.

So I just disabled it in the back end settings under Settings > User > User Profile, simply set Check for profile completion to No for now.

Hi Goodwin,

Identified the issue. It is coming from a bug in address field that it didn't check properly. Patched this on your site. Can you give it a try again?

Hi Sean,

I've tested this on your site and it seems to be behaving properly at the moment (since the address field is in maps mode, this mode is not affected by the bug).

just following this for having a same problem.
I have disabled Map in address, reverted the country list to use it from file.
My address field is now same as it was in 1.2, yet this still happens.

Hi,

Ah sorry. Left over some debug codes there.

I've removed it and do try completing the profile and re-save again. The 27 and 22 means that, there are a total of 27 fields, but only 22 are filled.

@Darko, this precisely happens when Map feature is disabled. However, there is a different logic behind 1.2 and 1.3 in calculating the profile completeness.

@Goodwin Is this happening on the user that you've provided me? I've tested with that account but I no longer see the profile completion bar.

i have noticed that the user i gave you, you will not see that bar but i have tried with other users the bar is still there. is it because i gave you the admin user and the rest just registered users still get the bar?

try the one i have submitted to you now. i even cleaned up my cache but still i get the same bar appear

Goodwin

Hi,

The profile completion actually includes "optional field" as well currently.

Because required field are already cross checked during profile save, hence by default required field are already expected to be filled in by user. This feature actually check against optional field as well currently.

Thank you for all the much appreciated fixes in EasySocial v1.3.2
This one problem does not appear to be resolved. At least I still have the incomplete profiles messages showing. I just turned if off again on my system. The reason it seems problematic is because I believe my profile is complete. So, something I do not understand seems to tell the system that the profile is incomplete.

@Sean,

I tested with the stackideas account that you've provided and enabled the profile completion check but the complete seems to be complete for me (no incomplete message showing). Please advise which account this is happening.

this is happening for the account "scarney". It is happening again. I had thought maybe the update turned this on but now I realize you probably turned it on while you were testing for me. :-)

@Sean, could you temporarily reset the password for scarney and provide me the access to that so that I can inspect since it is happening on that account.

Hi Sean,

With the account scarney, I just had to fill in the remaining empty fields for the message the go away.

Perhaps I should have been clearer with how this feature works. It checks against all field, required and optional.
