I'm having an issue where we are trying to create a payplans subscription based only access to easysocial, possibly just to one particular group the other groups / public wall being non-accessible.
currently the link for easysocial according to my customer is http://kosi.co/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=groups&layout=item&id=3:undefined&Itemid=2198&lang=en but this automatically redirects to http://kosi.co/index.php?option=com_users&view=login&lang=en where they get a redirect loop error. I've created a hidden menu item as shown in the image and ES is in lockdown mode.
I'm not sure whats going on.
Payplans has a "easy social registration" plugin which is enabled.
[Note to Support: please ignore my post as this is not directly related to Troy's issue]

Hello Troy,

Are you willing to have registered users that should not have access to EasySocial until they have the right PayPlan subscription? This question because I'm working on something like that (not using PayPlan but...).

Regards

Hi Troy,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have inspected your site and I seems can't replicate this issue on your site. I was able to view the group without any problem. Can you please provide us with the credentials of the user who hit this issue so that we can further investigate this issue on your site.

By the way, may I know where do your customer get this url?

Please advise.

Hi Troy,

I have apply some fix on this site. The reason why the url is looped because there is no EasySocial Dashboard in the English menu. I have create a hidden menu of EasySocial Dashboard in this site. I also have checked the French menu and it seems it's already have the EasySocial Dashboard, I have changed it to menu item alias which points to the hidden menu of EasySocial Dashboard.

Can you give this a try and see if this resolves the issue.
Please advise.

no, it does not... i've changed the menu item commuinity->heart of freedom commuinity to simple easysocial login menu item. When the system is in "locked down" mode, the loop is there.. when lockdown is off it the loop is gone.

Hello Troy,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've applied some fix on your site by using "Easysocial Dashboard" as menu item instead of login menu item so that the "locked down" mode will function properly. Just like my colleague said in his previous reply, we need to have atleast one easysocial dashboard menu item in your site so that easysocial will behave normally.

Hope these help

Hello Troy,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding with the redirection issue upon login or logout, we believe the issue is fixed now since we do not facing any redirecting issue upon login and logout just now.

May I know what do you mean by "can it be a hidden menu item if she only wants group access"? Correct me if I'm wrong, you want to every user to be redirected to "Heart Of Freedom" group URL upon login? It can be done by creating a hidden menu item that pointing directly to the group url and set the login redirection from backend > easysocial > settings > Users and set the login redirection to the hidden menu item that you just created. http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-06_1740.png

If I'm wrong, perhaps you can explain more on your requirement? Please advise.
