Hi,

I'm sure that this is just a setting....but I've had 3 new users join in the last 24 hours...and they're all called 'Guest'!!!

When I look at their profile Guest is in the first name field, but I'm assuming that I've set it up wrong somewhere as I've just registered...filled my first and last name in ok, but on the user page my name says Guest. username's ok....just the real name!!

Any ideas please
Hello Paul,

Glad that your user guest issue has been solved now. What we did is we create a new profile types and migrate all the user from the current profile types to a new profile types with the exact custom field and settings and everything is working fine now.

Regarding on your recaptcha issue, it seems like you are not entering the recaptcha key from your backend > easysocial > application > recaptcha. I've set it up for you and the recaptcha is displaying nicely on your easysocial page now, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-27_1054.png . Hope these help

Hi Paul Varney,

I've tried to access in your backend using this URL -> http://yourdomain.com/administrator

But it show me 404 error, please advise.

By the way, do you want when the user register in your site, it suppose to assign to registered user group?

Hi Arlex

I've overhauled the site...big changes..one of which was moving from jomsocial to ES
I'm looking at just really having one profile to subscibe to, but I've been wary of deleting the JS component until I'm sure that all the migration stuff has gone ok.

Totally forgot that I've a security thing on the admin URL....I'll repost it in the Site Details tab again!!

Thanks
paul

Hello Paul,

May I know is the user "Guest" registered to your site before the jomsocial migration or after the jomsocial migration? To be honest I'm not quite sure what is the caused of this issue. One possibility is perhaps someone really did registered on your site and use the name "Guest" as first name which I've just now tried in your site.

If there was just one person called guest, but there are 3!
They've all registered after migration

As I before....it's weird!!

Hi Paul,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Can you re-provide the access to your backend. The provided link redirected me back to frontpage. By the way, can you provide us with FTP access as well so that we can debug this issue directly on your site.

Please advise.

Yep, no prob.

Whilst you're routing around, can you check I've set up recaptcha correctly?
I had 30 nonsense users join last night, and yes....their usernames were all 'Guest'!!!!

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I am able to replicate the issue on your site by using mini registration under profile "registered user" and we are currently still in the process of figuring it out why it happened only under "registered user" profile type on your site. I will continue to investigate this issue on your site tomorrow as its already midnight here in our local time zone. Hope you understand

Many thanks, Arlex

Was it a setting...or a glitch in the code?

Could you possibly check my recaptcha settings too? I think I've set it up ok, but I'm not seeing anything!!

Cheers
