Hello,
I purchased EB and am having problems. Again I looked at the documentation but I find it incomplete/poor so here I am asking here.

1, My user can not add an image in the media manager via a "write a blog" menu item I created. All she gets is "HTTP error". With my super admin account, I can. Hint: When logged into the backend, this blogger only sees the "documentation" EB icon.

2. Once I (super admin) add image, how do I easily control the alignment (float) ? I'm looking for something user-friendly like in JCE.

Cheers,
G
Hello Gilles,

1, My user can not add an image in the media manager via a "write a blog" menu item I created. All she gets is "HTTP error". With my super admin account, I can. Hint:

Did you have Admin Tools installed in your site? If yes, you have to add exception for com_easyblog in WAF Exception so the user from the frontend can upload image.

When logged into the backend, this blogger only sees the "documentation" EB icon.

This is because normal user don't have permission to view the backend unless you give them permission from here: http://screencast.com/t/ILT0GCRoS7B .

2. Once I (super admin) add image, how do I easily control the alignment (float) ? I'm looking for something user-friendly like in JCE.

In Easyblog, you can change the editor based on you preference. You might want to go to Easyblog>Settings>Layout>Dashboard: http://screencast.com/t/PDiXDa1Z

Hope this helps.

Brilliant! Thanks Nick. Each of your recommendations worked.

Questions: If my blogger uses JCE to edit a blog.

1. Should they use the JCE image editor/uploader or the Media Manager which comes with EB? What's the diff?
2. If not using JCE, is there a user-friendly method of setting the image alignment?

Cheers,
G.

Hello Gilles,

Kindly please find the responses to your inquiries below:

1. Should they use the JCE image editor/uploader or the Media Manager which comes with EB? What's the diff?

It really depends on you but JCE handles images differently as they are uploaded within the images folder. EasyBlog's media manager is tightly integrated with EasyBlog so again, it's entirely up to you

2. If not using JCE, is there a user-friendly method of setting the image alignment?

You can use TINYMCE to align images when you insert the image into the blog post
