Hello,

Thank you for a great and new upgrade to EasyBlog actually a new install over EasyBlog 3.9.

1. I updated today but it did away with a lot of my settings. The first setting was for Google Adsense. The second setting was for the RSS feed importer.

2. The feeds get posted if I run it from the back-end admin area but did something happen. Everything was working fine in the earlier version.

3. My Google adsense code does not l;look like the code that EasyBlog advises to post. I have tried asynchronous and synchronous and still both did not work. Both worked in the earlier version.

4. The URLS are not going to the proper location when clicked form Twitter and it appears that the URL are not being picked up by Bitly even thought they did work in the past.

Is there an easier way to upgrade without losing all my previous settings?

Could you help - thank you.

Details attached to login.

Regards,
Milo

FYI to StackIdeas staff - I reverted back to EasyBlog 3.9.24862 because the feed were not working and a lot of other things were changed that will take some comprehensive code changes on my end.

If there is an easy way to upgrade without losing my settings then I will wait for that version.

This is a really great release and I thank you for all your hard work and support. I am a customer of yours for as long as I can be.

Thank you.

Hi milo and sky,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Can you provide us some screenshot from your backend Easyblog > feed importer page setting ? (e.g my first attachment screenshot )

So that I can try reproduce this issues in our local.

Because it seems work fine for me. Check my second screenshot below.

Hi Arlex,

I reverted back to EasyBlog 3.9.24862 because the feeds were not working and a lot of other things were changed that will take some comprehensive custom code changes on my end.

But when I reverted back to the previous version of EasyBlog now the Auto-Post works but you have to manually run the RSS feeds since they are not being automatically posted. I think this is a database issue since the URLs are not displaying properly again.

Could you take a look as it was working before the attempted upgrade. Your login details were attached in the previous post. Thank you for your time.

Milo

Hi Milo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I believe that was the issues, because you revert back to 3.9.

Actually I'm not encourage user revert back to 3.9 if upgraded to 5.0, because it will messed up something.

Can I help you upgrade to Easyblog 5.x so I can help you check on your previously issues?

By the way, I hitting this when I access your Joomla backend :
You are a spammer, hacker or an otherwise bad person. You will be blocked and reported.

This is my current IP address -> 175.145.128.233

Also can you provide us with your FTP access as well?

Hello Arlex,

I have added you to my white-list. I actually made an image, a backup of my entire site before I did an upgrade. So this is a clean image - I don't know if I want to do an upgrade as I will lose all of my CSS edits and custom coding I have done.

The only issue is the RSS feeds not being run automatically - we had this issue prior and you fixed it - it was about a month or so ago.

The cron is fine - something in the back-end is preventing this. Also the URLs are not redirecting the manual posts correctly. In one of my old posts we had the same issues and again you fixed it somehow.

Could you let me know how you did this so I could fix it next time.

Again I do not want to lose my site settings or the way my site looks. Thank you.

Milo

hi Milo,

It seems like I'm still can't access in your Joomla backend.

Hmm because Easyblog 5 is major changes anything for this new released(I mean the code structure.).

So I believe all of your customization file and the previously setting before you did also will be affected.

By the way, I have a suggestion for this, can you try setup a test site, so that you can re-do again with your customization like css or else.

And make sure everything is work then only upgrade to your live site.

Regarding the RSS feed issues, I believe we already solved in Easyblog 5 latest version. Perhaps you can try setup a test site for this moment?

Hi Arlex,

I apologize Arlex - my security software seems to blacklist IPs that it blocks and I removed you and now you should be okay.

Could you try again. Here is the other forum post where you fixed the issue:

http://stackideas.com/forums/rss-feeds-update-deleted-long-thread

I am thinking of setting up a test site. I think the code changes are great in EasyBlog 5. Could you maybe tell me what you fixed last time to make the RSS feeds post? If the site blocks you again let me know. Thank you for your time.

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

Yes, it seems like your security software still blocked my new IP address, by the way, this is my current IP address -> 115.164.210.138

I've checked back your previous post thread, what we suggest you last time is this -> http://stackideas.com/forums/rss-feeds-update-deleted-long-thread#reply-198649

Can you check with your Cpanel that cronjob configuration and the backend setting is it set correctly?

If can provide us with your Cpanel access as well.

Hi Arlex,

I added you to my white list. The cron is fine.

Let me explain.

Before I did an upgrade I backed up the entire site with EasyBlog 3.9 running. Everything was fine. When I noticed several code changes that changed my site I deleted the EasyBlog 5 site and reinstalled the fresh image of my site running EasyBlog 3.9.

Everything works fine except for the automatic retrieval of the RSS feeds and posting to Twitter.

When I Execute the feeds manually they post to Twitter but the automatic fetching and posting does NOT work. This is the same as my other post - so you magically fixed it that time and if you can fix it this time I would be grateful. It appears something happens to the automatic cron feed within EasyBlog.

Please let me know and I thank you for your time.

Milo

Hi Arlex,

Could you tell me what table in the database is responsible for the RSS Feeds? Also which table handles the auto posting? There must be settings in those tables that are preventing this from happening.

Thank you.

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Could you tell me what table in the database is responsible for the RSS Feeds? Also which table handles the auto posting? There must be settings in those tables that are preventing this from happening.

The following table is responsible for the RSS feeds and the autoposting.
#__easyblog_feeds_history
#__easyblog_feeds
--------------------------------------------
#__easyblog_oauth
#__easyblog_oauth_posts
#__easyblog_posts
-------------------------------------------

Can you temporary set your cronjob interval time to 5 minute per time?

*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://techlick.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed";;

*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://techlick.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron"

So I can test something about this?

Hi Arlex,

Okay I set your other IP in the list - how many do you have? I set the 244 one since the other address is more than likely a local IP to you. I also reset the cron to 5 minutes.

Thank you for your reply. Hope this works.

Just an update - but the URLs are also not working correctly when clicked form Twitter. They use to work before the attempted upgrade.

When the link is clicked from Twitter the blog RSS feed post use to go to the home page with a side menu but now it just goes to a page without a menu - see pics please. And the automatic feed importer post still does not work.

Yes, I can access in your Joomla backend page, but somehow today I can't login in your Joomla backend, seems like you already changed the password for this user "stacked".

I understand your current issues, I would love to help you solve this issues quickly.

Hope you can provide the correct Joomla backend login credential again.

Hi Arlex,

The password has remained the same. I think it is Firefox just auto filling the wrong password.
Could you try again.

Issues to resolve with an answer please:

1. What stopped the auto-posting and please fix it

2. Why does the URLs become misconstrued or redirected to other URLs instead of the home page.

Thank you.

hi Milo,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

Finally I can access in your backend right now.

I have checked in your site, it seems like your menu structure still using all the "Easyblog frontpage layout" for get your category post. Because it will messed up with your proper URL format.

I remember I already do some explanation in your previous post, perhaps you can change to "Easyblog - single category layout", After you configured this kind of URL format, it will not get this happen again.

By the way, I can't login in your frontpage, I hitting this "Access denied" check my screenshot below.

Hi Arlex,

Nothing has changed. That is the puzzle. It seems that everything was working fine and then all of a sudden EasyBlog stops auto posting RSS feeds from the feed importer and the URLs become redirected. I have always had EasyBlog frontpage layout for my web site architecture layout. For over a year. It wasn't until the upgrade to 5 that all this started happening.

I have frontpage login disabled - since hackers try everything to get into the site. The RSS feed importer is still not working. I have to manually run the feeds. The cron is fine and everything was working.

Tell me what would cause this I need to know so I can fix it next time. What triggers the auto posting to twitter when the cron runs? Am I asking the right question?

Milo

Hope you understand.

I'm still investigate because i would like to test it but I can't access in your frontend at yesterday.
You need a cronjob help you process import the feed then system will automatically autopost to your Twitter.

You have been very helpful and I really appreciate your patience and understanding. Did you fix something? Because when I click the links from Twitter the URL loads correctly with a menu.

I have disabled the security option for the front page login so now you will be able to test. Please let me know when you are done and if you could tell me what happened so I can fix it next time and not bother you

Thank you Arlex.

Hi Arlex,

You have many IPs. Don't you have a static IP? It seems you have a different one every time you login to my site and that is the reason you get blocked. I have added your recent IP to my white list.

Last time I disabled the security software I got hacked - so just let me know what your IP is before you try to login and I will try to add you as soon as I can..

Let me know how you do. Thank you.

Hi Arlex,

The cron is fine - I admin a server and check it daily. I had setup a test site and that site works perfectly and it is exactly like techlick but on a different domain and the RSS feeds are automatically retrieved and posted. So why is this happening at Techlick?

It is the cron for EasyBlog which is not running correctly. This happens all the time after I do backups and then I re-image the server. I don't understand what it could be but I know it has something to do with a switch somewhere within EasyBlog that keeps shutting off or the code becomes corrupted somewhere. The RSS feeds were working perfect every 30 minutes - a RSS feed would automatically be posted to Twitter. But after the attempted upgrade to EasyBlog 5 everything stopped.

Arlex please tell me what code automatically retrieves the rss feeds so the cron can post these feeds to Twitter? That is the code you need to be looking at since the RSS feeds are not being automatically retrieved by EasyBlog but if you run them manually they work.

Thanks for your time.

Milo

Hello Arlex,

My apologies for the delay also. My PC crashed and I had to rebuild a new one and just was able to get on the internet.

Thank you for the reply. As mentioned you fixed this issue in the past as this has happened previously. I have added that IP to the rock star admin list

I don't have a CPanel or FTP access as I do not have access to my server until tomorrow.

Hope we could fix this soon, I wish I knew what to look for and then I could fix it and let you get some rest

Hello Arlex,

Yes I apologize. My server was taken down - it is back up now and I am adding you to my whitelist - I don't know how to setup FTP since this is just a server with no CPanel or FTP. I lost access to the server but can still access the Joomla back-end. As soon as I gain access I will try to figure out an FTP account for you.

Thank you again.

Hi Milo,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with feed importer with EasyBlog 5, do you think you can create a test site and mimic your live site into this test site so that we can test again the feed importer with EasyBlog 5 without affecting your live site? If you can create a test site, then upgrade your EasyBlog 3.9.x from your test site to latest version of EasyBlog 5.0.13. You can then follow the instruction at this post:

http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-5-feed-importer-stopped-working#reply-205602

Basically after upgraded to EasyBlog 5.0.13, you will need to copy the mapper.php file mention in the above thread. Once everthing done, you can run the test by paste the following URL in your web browser:

http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed&debug=true

Let me know if the above fix your issue or not

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the reply. Arlex had fixed this last time so I was hoping he would be able to tell me what he did so I could just fix it on my end. I had setup a test site which I use on another domain and it works perfectly. I don't know why Techlick is causing us issues. Thus far we have looked at the DB and all the settings and nothing has changed. This was from a fresh image.

Just a straight question:

1. What could cause this to stop automatically retrieving the RSS feeds and where is that code located?

There has to be a switch or a piece of code that says "get xxxx rss feeds and post to twitter" - am I right.

I grant you rights to test on Techlick. I create backups everyday so if anything goes wrong I can deploy the latest backup.

Maybe I will just update to 5 and start doing my code changes that I need to do.

Let me know what you think. Thanks again for your time and have a great day.

Milo

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,

I have no ideas your cronjob is it working or not without access in your Cpanel configuration site,

So I decided to use another cronjob extension and install in your site, so I already configured this 2 cronjob now.Check my screenshot below.

By the way, I have temporary disabled this admin tool plugin and Enable minimum content length setting ->
http://www.yourdomain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_plugins&view=plugin&layout=edit&extension_id=10061

because it seems like the admin tool blocked cronjob extension process and some of the post content didn't over 50 character then it will get failed.

After I disabled this 1 plugin, setting, and configured the cronjob through the XTCronjob extension, it will auto process now, can you see today is it auto feed imported in your site? Keep us updated then the result.

Hi Arlex,

Thanks for all the work you did but my cron does run every 30 minutes. I checked the log and it still shows that it does run. The last time it ran was at 12:01am est.

I was thinking that it might have to do with one of the plugins but I never had an issue until I tried to upgrade to version 5. Everything was running smoothly as I had stated. I believe you also fixed it last time without all the additional installations.

Looks like it was working since I need that Admin Tools plugin enables otherwise the site will be hacked. Why would the plugin interfer now when it was running and working before the upgrade?

Milo

hi Milo,

You're welcome.

That was hard to tell you what is the reason why it not working, unless I can access in your Cpanel access and test what is your server response when I do the cron test from your Cpanel.

By the way, when you enabled your admin tool, those cronjob get failed now. Check my screenshot below.

I have 2 ideas now.
#1. Try get back your Cpanel access from your webhosting provider
#2. Try consult with Admin tool developer is there a way can don't block this XTCronjob extension process the cron run

Keep us updated then.

Hi Arlex,

Thank you for your continued support but I never had to have any additional extensions on my site to run the EasyBlog feeds. Plus I do not have a CPanel. I have a regular server - no CPanel. I have another test site setup with EasyBlog 3.9 and I am having no issues. I have a cron setup on my server that runs and posts RSS feeds with no problem. And I have the same components and extensions installed with no additional extensions / components needed for EasyBlog to work on that test site. Something happened in the upgrade and that is what we are trying to figure out.

I cannot disable my security software because I get hacked all the time. This is literally an issue with EasyBlog - it has happened before and it stills happens. If you refer to my old ticket - you fixed it before without any installation of third party extensions.

Could you tell me the pages with the code that triggers the automatic retrieval of the RSS feeds from the Feed URL to Twitter. That is where the issue is. I can then compare this code to the working sites pages.

Thank you again for your time and support.

Milo

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,

I've read back on your previous old post thread again, this 2 following link is what i did for you in previously.
http://stackideas.com/forums/rss-feeds-update-deleted-long-thread#reply-198649
http://stackideas.com/forums/rss-feeds-update-deleted-long-thread#reply-198732
but you only get back to us the URL issues resolved instead of feed importer.

Okay, now i would like to make sure your Easyblog cronjob is it setup correctly or not, can you follow my instruction how to check your server response?
#1. Go to your SSH (which you configured the cronjob command)
Example :
*/1 * * * * /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://techlick.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron";

Hi Arlex,

I am getting errors, a 500 internal server error and a 403 forbidden access. This is what the email says:

Resolving techlick.com... IP Hidden Connecting to techlick.com|162.243.210.248|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden
2015-07-02 01:00:01 ERROR 403: Forbidden.

But I have the test site on the same server and it is not getting a 403 as it is processing correctly. See below:

Connecting to testsite| IP hidden... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 48 [text/html]
Saving to: “/dev/null”

0K 100% 7.30M=0s

What could it be. Nothing was changed. The only change was the update to EasyBlog 5 on techlick. I did not update it in the test site. The test site runs fine.

I will check the files you posted. Thank you very much again for this.

What do you think it could be.

Regards,
Milo

Hi Milo,

Thanks for getting back to us quickly,

Resolving techlick.com... IP Hidden Connecting to techlick.com|162.243.210.248|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden
2015-07-02 01:00:01 ERROR 403: Forbidden.

Yes, based on your server return you the response, obviously it mentioned when the cron trying to access but it don't have permission to access so hitting this 403 Forbidden error.

Connecting to testsite| IP hidden... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK
Length: 48 [text/html]
Saving to: “/dev/null”

0K 100% 7.30M=0s

But regarding with your test site, it seems like doesn't hitting any permission error, so the cron process smoothly.

By the way, may i know your test site is it got install any security extension like admin tool? If yes, can you compare with the setting and see is it got some different? Because I already compare with your file, it seems like when you revert back to Easyblog 3.9 is using your backup right?

Hello Arlex,

The test site has the same settings as the Techlick site - it has all the extensions just like Techlick and all the same settings since I import all teh settings from each component. As mentioned the test site was not upgraded to EasyBlog 5.

What do you think it could be?

Milo

Hello Arlex,

Upon further research I found that the working site did not have a cron.php page.

The process should go through this few file ->
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\cron.php (not found on working site)
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\easyblog.php (found)
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\helpers\feeds.php (found)
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\helpers\connectors.php (found)

Still comparing the files from Techlick and the working test site but if you think of anything please let me know. The Feed Importer (auto retrieval of the RSS feeds) has not been working since the attempted upgrade which was over a week ago and this is affecting my traffic. One reason I purchased EasyBlog was because of this feature.

I hope we can figure it out - thanks again for your valued time.

Regards,
Milo

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Yes, you can download my attachment file and replace in JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\cron.php .

Can I have your test site access? (Joomla backend and FTP access)

By the way, may i suggest you try create another new test site for test upgrade to Easyblog 5, because we already solved this feed importer issues in 5.0.14 and we just released on yesterday night.

Hello Awesome Arlex

Thank you for all your support - you are just too cool! Yes I did copy over those files but there was no change.

Take a rest, it is the weekend and we can pick up on this again next week. Could be a few different variables.

I think a table was not properly dropped in the DB and maybe there may have been a little data corruption. Also thinking about rebuilding the whole site and starting with EasyBlog 5. Any discounts if I upgrade to the unlimited version?

Thanks again for your time!

Regards,
Milo

Tell Mark that Rob says hi. He has been real busy lately.

Hi Milo,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
I think a table was not properly dropped in the DB and maybe there may have been a little data corruption.

Yes, it could be. But if the file get data corrupted, the manually import the feed shouldn't be work. And I'm still believe on what your server response to us that IP blocking message is causing this issues. Perhaps when you get ready, we will help you upgrade to Easyblog 5 so that we can get rid of this data corruption possibility.

Also thinking about rebuilding the whole site and starting with EasyBlog 5. Any discounts if I upgrade to the unlimited version?

Regarding this perhaps you can contact us in our helpdesk https://crm.stackideas.com/ so our marketing team will help you on this.

Hi Arlex,

No apologies needed my friend. Maybe it is just that one line of code that is causing this issue. But then again I uploaded all new files to Techlick and also removed the htaccess file to see if that would help and nothing changed.

I would like to upgrade to 5 but I do not want to lose any style changes on my site. Plus when I did upgrade to 5 I did not see the bitly URL shortener that the 3.9 version had that shortens the RSS post that goes to Twitter.

Yes I will contact your marketing folks...your support is outstanding and you are awesome!

Lets try this week to upgrade but again I really do not want to lose the style of my site just yet. You have some pretty awesome templates and I want to see how they look on my test site.

Milo

Hi Milo,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

Yes, it would be best if you can upgrade Easyblog 5 in your test site first, so that you can do the comparison and avoid missing your styling of your live site.

1 more thing, can you take a look of my 2 screenshot below and see is it match with your database Easyblog table `#__easyblog_feeds` and ` #__easyblog_feeds_history` .

I would like to upgrade to 5 but I do not want to lose any style changes on my site. Plus when I did upgrade to 5 I did not see the bitly URL shortener that the 3.9 version had that shortens the RSS post that goes to Twitter.

I've checked in my locally, it seems like we missing add back the Twitter shortenURL feature in Easyblog 5, I will consult with our developer regarding this.

Hello Arlex!

Okay I checked the DB and there was one thing that was not correct. Please see attachment. I went to change the row to Unique and received a notice. It is right now at Unique.

#1170 - BLOB/TEXT column 'item_get_fulltext' used in key specification without a key length

It seems that row 11 did not have the Unique switch on.

11 item_get_fulltext tinyint(3)

Does this have anything to do with the auto retrieval of the RSS auto post URL feeds?

I should have a test site up and running by this weekend. I will let you know if I have any issues. Thank you again for your time.

Milo

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Thanks for getting back to us, I've checked in your screenshot, actually that columns didn't set as primary also okay one, since all the columns is there and no missing anything, so my suspect is not valid for this missing columns possibility.

Okay, keep us updated when you setup your test site.

Hello Stackideas,

I setup a test site with EasyBlog 5.0 and the auto retrieving of external websites appears not to be working. I ahve all the settings applied that are recommended and the cron is working on my server.

Could you tell me what I may be missing?

Hi Milo,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Perhaps you can upload your test site temporary to live site so we can access and troubleshoot on this?

Once you uploaded, can you provide us with your test site Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look?

Hi Awesome Arlex,

Yes the info to login was in my last post. The site is on the internet and not a local test site. Please check my last post for the login info.

Maybe I missed a setting in the back-end of EasyBlog 5 but it is not auto retrieving the external links.

Thank you for your time.

Milo

Hi Milo,

Oh, I'm really sorry for that i missed you provided your test site access on your last second reply.

Yes, I can access grillionaire.net .

Can you download my attachment file and replace in JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\feeds\adapters\mapper.php
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\cron.php

Also, may i know how long cron time interval you set? Can you temporary set to 1 minute for check your server response?

#1. Go to your SSH (which you configured the cronjob command)
Example :
*/1 * * * * /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://grillionaire.net/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron";
*/1 * * * * /usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://grillionaire.net/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed";
Add this following code and set 1 minute per cron process, after 1 or 2 minute go check your email and see what your server response.
MAILTO=youremailaddress@mail.com

And see how it goes?

Hello Arlex!

Could you tell me what you have done? Does it automatically retrieve the articles and post them? Before I upload any files I will want to test it for a day.

The only other thing is that the Twitter button is not showing even though I enabled it. Thank you again for your time.

Milo

Hi Arlex,

You offer the best support Arlex. I am grateful for your help.

I added your IP to techlick.com - you will need to contact me here with your IP as you will not be able to do it yourself.

Also the cron is running fine on the test site but it does not appear that the RSS feeds imported are being retrieved as the cron runs every 30 minutes and it has been a few hours since the last sites were retrieved. The published RSS feeds are only working if you manually push the test import button.

So this tells me that there is a disconnect between the actual article getting pulled over since both crons are working - something is still not automatically pulling over the articles to be automatically published.

Thank you again for your time.

Milo

Hi Milo,

Thanks for your compliment, but until now i haven't help you solve this issues yet.

By the way, is there a way restore your SSH password so that I can access it and take a look of your configuration?

Since you have setup a test site for this, I have temporary disable this "System - Admin Tool" plugin from your test site, and see after 30 minute is it will auto import the feed in your test site.

Is there a way, temporary reduce your cron interval time to 15 minute, so that I can double check on this every 15 ~ 20 minute on your blog listing from backend.

Because as you said that if manually run this command URL on browser address bar ( http://grillionaire.net/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed )and click on import button, it work fine.

Now only left this possibility, if the cron URL get blocked, it cant execute the cron URL and can't auto import the feed through cronjob.

Hello Arlex,

The cron runs every 15 minutes and it still has not brought over any sites. I manually clicked on the Test Import button and that worked. But I would like to have the Bitly link shortener working with it as I am trying to build a solid image to roll out to techlick.com.

I would much rather not share my SSH. Lets keep the access to this level since the only thing that this software needs is a cron running and the cron runs every 15 mins.

The admin tools I don't think has anything to do with the import of the site. Since it worked without any issues for months.

The only thing I see happening is that EasyBlog is not retrieving the URLS of the sites. Again this use to work with no issues. Strange thing is that the other test site I had running EasyBlog it all of a sudden just stopped working and nothing was done to it. My server configuration wasn't changed or anything with the Joomla configuration. Except that a bunch of .pl addresses are registering for some reason and it keeps asking if Mark's password should be remembered. Did Mark code a backdoor in EasyBlog?

Thank you again for your time.

Milo

Hey Milo,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as we might have missed your post earlier. If the "Test" button works for you when you click on it, then the cronjob should work fine too. The only reason it doesn't import during cronjob, is most likely that the cronjob didn't get executed at all.

This thread is getting really long and to be honest with you, most of our moderators would most likely find it difficult to follow up on your issues. I strongly suggest that you please start a new thread if you are still having issues with the cronjob.

HI Mark,

This is Rob - Milo is an employee of mine:

Let me explain:

Both crons (on my sever and the EasyBlog cron) are running. It is just not pulling over the URL of the Feed Importer and automatically publishing it.

The only thing I see is that the time is offset. The EasyBlog shows 4 hours ahead of the server time. Meaning the server time is correct (10:04am) but the EasyBlog cron time is 4 hours ahead of the server time (14:04pm)

See screenshot please. Could this be the reason that the URLs are not being automatically published?

Also could I get the earlier version of EasyBlog 3.9 download link before the 5 upgrade. I want to build a solid test a site with version EasyBlog 3.9.24862.

Hope all is well Mark and good seeing you again!

Regards,
Rob

Hey Rob,

How've you been? I could be misunderstanding here since this thread is extremely long. Let me get this correctly about your issues here. Are your current issues:

1. The cron isn't running?

2. The post isn't publishing?

3. The cron runs but no posts are being imported?

By the way, I can't access your site because it seems like my ip address is being classified as "You are a spammer, hacker or an otherwise bad person. You will be blocked and reported."

Hey Mark,

I just became aware of this situation and I just want to say thank you to you and Arlex for all the time you put in on this.

Even though the reports showed that both crons were running correctly, what I did instead was delete the old cron and wrote a new one. It started working correctly. Please close this long thread and thank you very much for your support!
